Gay Days set to turn Disneyland into the gayest place on earth for a red-hot weekend

gay-days-anaheim-2016

October marks the 20th annual Gay Days Anaheim Oct 6-8, and so it returns with three days of rides, dancing, pool parties and shows in sunny Southern California.

Once again, an army of red shirts will turn Disneyland Park, for a weekend at least, into the gayest, happiest place on earth.

The first Gay Days Anaheim two decades ago drew a couple thousand people. Today the event attracts tens of thousands, mixing and matching in red T-shirts with non-LGBTQ people. It is a sight–and experience–to behold.

Here are our top five reasons to get your tickets now…

1. The park rides

Disneyland has some of the best rides in the nation, from classics like the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean, to the new Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! ride (formerly the Tower of Terror).

2. The pool party

3. The drag queens

Disney’s Grand Californian hosts Miss Coco Peru on Saturday with her brand new, “brutally honest, searingly bitchy show.” Plus, RuPaul’s Drag Race royalty Alyssa Edwards, Chad Michaels, Delta Work and Morgan McMichaels hit the stage to perform at the Friday and Saturday night parties.

4. The guys

5. The dance parties

There are two dance parties, Kingdom and Wonderland. The Friday night kickoff party at Wonderland features beats by DJ Ray Rhodes and a performance by Alyssa Edwards. The party continues on Saturday night at Kingdom with music by DJ Roland Belmares and special performances by Todrick Hall, Chad Michaels, Morgan McMichaels and Delta Work.
