Earlier this morning, we mentioned that Surgeon General nominee Dr. James Holsinger penned a piece for the United Methodist Church entitled “Pathophysiology of Male Homosexuality”. Well, a concerned queer passed the document along to us and now we’re passing it along to you.

The anatomic and physiologic facts of alimentation and reproduction simply do not change based on any cultural setting. In fact, the logical complementarity of the human sexes has been so recognized in our culture that it has entered our vocabulary in the form of naming various pipe fittings either the male fitting or the female fitting depending upon which one interlocks within the other.
Well, if some plumber in butt fuck (ha!) Michigan’s referring to a piece as “female,” gay sex must be wrong.

Um, as one living in “Butt Fuck, MI”, I can tell you that you hit the attitudinal nail on the head. I’m still having discussions with friends who think that every time Rosie mentions her partner she’s flaunting being gay, while if Elizabeth talks about her husband it’s ok. Sigh.
