John McCain, you suck.
Not only are a majority of your Attorney General supporters notoriously anti-gay, but you refuse to distance yourself from anti-gay, anti-Catholic pastor John Hagee.
Fine, we get it, you’ve got no character, but to dismiss outrage over Hagee’s wacky theories on Katrina – God was punishing gay loving New Orleans – as “nonsense.” Well, that’s just shitty. And, what’s worse, you attempt to change the subject by bringing up Reverend Jeremiah Wright.
Ug, you disgust us.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

You’re right about McCain…and he’s right about Wright. Call a spade a spade.

McSame will kiss up and suck up to anyone and say anything for a vote. ZERO integrity. The Straight Talk Express derailed a long time ago.

To the first commentor… McCain is not right about Rev. Wright and neither are you. I am a gay member of Pastor Wright’s church in Chicago. When he was the pastor, he was the most loving man and had an open door policy to all who came into the church. In fact, our church has many open LGBT people in leadership roles of all races. He does not hate America, but he doesn’t like everything the American government has done and continues to do. What American does? SO, before you get to talking out of the side of your mouth, please know your facts. Hillary and McCain have only used Rev. Wright as a political wedge issue . This is the only way either one of them can win the White House.

Thom, It is nice to hear from someone who actually attends his church. I do not see how someone who has done so much good, can be ridiculed for one out of contest sound bite. I live in Indiana and looking forward to having my primary vote count this year. Most years it has already been decided before getting to us Hoosiers.

Straight talk express? How about this from the NY Times 3/16/2007 (re: a potential US program to help Africa prevent HIV)
Q: “So no contraception, no counseling on contraception. Just abstinence. Do you think contraceptives help stop the spread of HIV?â€
Mr. McCain: (Long pause) “You’ve stumped me.â€
Q: “I mean, I think you’d probably agree it probably does help stop it?â€
Mr. McCain: (Laughs) “Are we on the Straight Talk express? I’m not informed enough on it. Let me find out. You know, I’m sure I’ve taken a position on it on the past. I have to find out what my position was. Brian, would you find out what my position is on contraception – I’m sure I’m opposed to government spending on it, I’m sure I support the president’s policies on it.â€
Q: “But you would agree that condoms do stop the spread of sexually transmitted diseases. Would you say: ‘No, we’re not going to distribute them,’ knowing that?â€
Mr. McCain: (Twelve-second pause) “Get me Coburn’s thing, ask Weaver to get me Coburn’s paper that he just gave me in the last couple of days. I’ve never gotten into these issues before.â€
I can’t believe the media didn’t pound him into dogfood over this one. He doesn’t know his own position on contraception and he doesn’t know if HIV can be prevented by condom usage? Sheesh….

Clinton and Obama need to lock theirownbadselves into a room and figure out who goes where on the ticket, and come out all loveydovey with rose petals falling from the cloudless blue sky. The only only reason McCain gets away with this and other atrocities and preposterousnesses is because the media is fixated on the slowmotion trainwreck that is the democratic primary process.
The fact is neither of them will have the requisite number of delegates by August, absent some sort of powergrab by super-d’s that will cause great weeping and wailing throughout the land.
So figure it out, Senators C and O, and then get to work focussing attention on the man who would be drooling-geriatric-idiot-in-chief.

It’s unusual that the media hasn’t really focused on any number of the massive blunders he’s made these past few months. He’s friendly to the media; that’s why he’s getting a free ride. It’s unfortunate, but I think it’s true …

Here here ! EMB – I think that is a great idea for Hillary and Obama to join forces….beats the slowmotion trainwreck…..

Well put EMB. You are absolutely right that McCain is not getting enough tough scrutiny. After all, we know the media cannot focus on many stories at one time. (It really overtaxes the poor dears!) And so we ended up with only Obama and Clinton to choose from. The media just couldn’t handle following Edwards, Kucinich, or Richardson.

Compred to Wright, Rev. Hagee is truly frightening on so many issues beyond his absurd homophobic Katrina assertions. And though there is plenty out there about his whacko views (check Youtube and Wikipedia), McCaine, who has been endorsed by Hagee, has gotten off by distancely himself slightly from his anti-Catholic views. Only Bill Moyers has done real reporting on Hagee and how he has been embraced by the neo-cons because he backs Israel and wants to destory Iran.

Don’t worry Dems Family. Let McCain start up his shit. http://www.moveon.org is waiting in the wings!
