Jeez, a gay man being a sky pixie worshipper is like a turkey voting for an early Christmas. Fucking mad.

Darn, I thought for sure Stephen Curtis Chapman would have come out by now.

I think that all of those bible-thumpers are queer! Just too much overcompensating!
Beej the Pink Sheep
Holy Sheep! This shocked me. I was an evangelical minister for about a decade in the 90’s when Boltz was still all the rage. (I left my denomination when I officially came out of the closet.)
Hate all you want on him, but it takes guts. Coming out of the closet to evangelicals is a catastrophic change in your life. Way bigger than coming out to your mommy who used to watch you dress up in her high heels.
Bravo, Ray Botz!

I agree with Beej. Must take a strong man to stand up and announce he is gay while in that environment.
Also, I don’t think there is such a big dichotomy for someone to be queer and have faith. Just because a part of the religious population is homophobic doesn’t mean the faith itself deserves to be attacked.

oh, my mother will be heartbroken. she loooves him.

no need to be vicious. the greatest gift is love.
Mr C
A Brave step for Boltz. He’ll be fine.

Jude, you say: “Just because a part of the religious population is homophobic doesn’t mean the faith itself deserves to be attacked.”
What? Even when that “faith” clearly is deeply anti-gay deep within its holy texts???
Like I say for a gay to be chrisitian, or muslim or jewish is merely setting yourself up for self-hatred and misery.

Good for him to come out. It takes courage. It’s too bad he had to do it after he decided to retire, but who knows what would have happened to him if he came out earlier…
I applaud his courage.
