On Sunday afternoon, Miss New York Kaitlin Monte joined Ken Alston Jr. (Three Mo’ Tenors), JR Bruno (West Side Story, Book of Mormon), Michael Cusumano (Chicago), Lauren Elder (Hair), John Edwards (Jersey Boys), Russell Fischer (Jersey Boys), Tony Gonzalez (Mamma Mia), Amy Hamlin (Radio City Christmas Spectacular), Michele Mais (Rock of Ages), Anthony Lee Medina (Spring Awakening), Fred Ross, LaQuet Sharnell (Lysistrata Jones), Allison Siko, Courter Simmons (Jersey Boys), MJ Rodriguez (Rent) for a special forum on school bullying, followed by a performance of TADA! Youth Theater’s Up to You.
Aimed at kids as young as 5 and based on the real-life experiences of librettist Eric Rockwell, Up to You addresses peer pressure, bullying and stereotyping with a story about a young teen in 1977 bullied because of rumors about his sexuality.
Up to You runs Saturdays and Sundays through May 20.
