PHOTOS: Frat boys will be frat boys which almost always means vaguely gay. The bros at the University of Michiganās Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, known as Pike, lived up to that time-honored tradition with the invite to their āAmericaā party. Intended solely for their sisters at the Alpha Phi sorority, the invitation quickly made its way around campus and, subsequently, the world wide web.
Why? Well, a bunch of dudes wearing nothing but the old stars and stripes can have that effect.
The Pike social chairman told Bro Bible they only wanted ācreate a buzz with the picturesā ā mission accomplished ā and that they didnāt expect āevery frat and sorority to get their hands on it.ā
āLesson learned for promoting our upcoming proctologist-themed mixer,ā he joked. Well, letās just hope that lesson doesnāt stick.

I fail to see the problem, only real issue i see is the one with the frat paddle which have been banned from most campuses. My org regularly works with such as fratnerities and in order to maintain that alliance they have to abide by certain rules the same as with the supreme chapter, our rules across the board are even more strict than the Universities or the state or federal governments regarding pledges, rush week and events. This here in by no means is bad depending on your point of view.

Why is this gay news? All this does is remind me of the frat bros from my undergrad: rich idiots for whom school was largely an extension of their social club, to which gays need not apply. Why a culture of homophobia, sexism, misogyny, and entitlement continues to be embraced by our institutions of higher learning is beyond me.
Having said that, I’m confident that one or two of the budding scholars pictured above could persuade me to soften my views.

@jwrappaport: Soften your view? Are we looking at the same pictures? ‘Cause mine’s kinda hardening. š

@imperator: Mea culpa, imperator. Vivant membra quaelibet! Semper sint in flore.

@jwrappaport, lighten up! It’s gay news because it’s a bunch of almost naked young men being sexually objectified. Works for me. š

So I’m going to be the only one to mention the disrespectful use of the American flag?
(While still finding… the imagery… somewhat… hot. *ahem*)
erikwm
Meh.
None of these guys have abs. Not impressed.

@Jackhoffsky, what’s disrespectful about it? Disrespect to the flag is when the (majority of living) politicians spew lies, hate, or ignorance while (metaphorically) draping themselves in the flag (prominently displayed in the background), all the while absolutely raping all the principles it is supposed to stand for.

@viveutvivas: Comparison arguments never really work for me. Yes, politicians dishonor the flag more than anyone. That means… what? I personally don’t think genitals, as a whole, should be rubbed against the flag… male or female, hot or not. That’s just an opinion.
HOWEVER, it’s not a finite stance, just a general rule. I have fucked on an Irish flag before… IN Ireland. So, you know… there are exceptions to every rule. LOL.
