The rapper Wale, who originally canceled his scheduled appearance at D.C.’s Black Pride — leading speculation that he was a big homophobe! — has canceled his other engagement to support the capital’s ‘mos. Misunderstanding resolved! He’ll be performing later today. All together now: Awwwww..
But does this mean J. Holiday, who stepped in for Wale after he canceled, is getting the boot?

That’s actually a really nice and encouraging way for this situation to be resolved. Almost inspiring, one might say.

very good news.

It’s important to note that that Wale is waiving his performance fee of $18,000 and will be performing at D.C. Pride for free. Now, that’s kind of classy!

This story is a perfect example of not rushing to judgement.

Good on Wale for performing. I hope he gets a lot of press for doing something that many mainstream musical acts seem to avoid. Most of them want us to buy their records but keep an arm’s length from us in terms of their associations.

Why didn’t the white friut cakes in D.C. attend the Black Gay Pride festival? Let me find out, the gays discriminate against each other based on race and skin color. I am loving it. LOL LOL
