Sex incarnate — some know him as actor Raúl Castillo — has offered some insight on whether the relationship between his popular character Richie and Jonathan Groff‘s Patrick will thrive during season two of Looking.
The HBO drama returns Jan. 11 and Castillo revealed to Access Hollywood that viewers can expect the couple to set boundaries with each other and determine whether they’ll remain friends or more.
“It’s always in the air whether Richie and Patrick will end up together,” he observed. “I do think Richie and Patrick have a true love and this season is about toying with…the special bond between Patrick and Richie.”
Castillo also explained how the gay community of San Francisco, where the show is set, has embraced the series.”After the first season, we got a lot of love being back in the city,” he said. “The community really loves how we portray the city. We get a lot of positive feedback.”
And viewers who don’t think the show is racy enough despite some very memorable sexy scenes, Castillo said there’s some interesting stuff coming up this season. “The writers have done a great job of digging in deep with these characters,” the actor shared.

They are my OTP. Kevin is a cheating douche who just wants a nice side-piece.

if they fall in love and end up together- that would negate the show’s title- LOOKING is about looking for that guy- not about what happens when you’ve found him…..

They are so mismatched it’s almost funny. Richie should get together with Frank since Augustin lost that chance, although I don’t think he’s a part of the second season. As for Kevin, I have a feeling what Aromaeus suggested will end up being the case. Patrick should just keep looking.

@dhmonarch89:
This show wont be around long enough to do too much exoloring. They better already be thinking about the end game.
That said, Richie can do so much better.

Why so many “relationships” fail, because they chose poorly and don’t learn from painful, rejecting, cheating behavior. I wish this show would quit while it’s giving limp head, and make air space for a show that actually is mature and really diverse. If you are “out,” but are just past post-adolescence trying to pass as adults, you mine as well stay in your closet! Save the sex for mature, responsible adults. Now that would be “hot!”

The name of the show is “Looking.”
If Richie & Patrick “find true love” they’ll have to change the name of the show to “Settled Down & Boring.”

I think Looking missed its chance. It’s a sad day when network tv (How To Get Away With Murder) had steamer gay sex scenes than HBO.
The Looking writers seemed (in an interview) like they were actually trying to present realistic gay life but.
Someone on the Looking production needs to explain what the fuck they see in Jonathan Groff.
