The right hasn’t given up on Barack Obama‘s controversial former preacher, Jeremiah Wright. The National Republican Trust PAC has been running this ad featuring Wright’s “anti-American” rants in three battleground states, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida, and announced today that they’re expanding their coverage to include the entire US of A.
And they’re paying $2 million to do it. Think of all the hungry mouths that could feed…

The big difference is that most all of Obama’s funds came directly from donors who wanted to support his run for the presidency. More supporters = more money.
Pretty simple, really. Why people seem to act like him having lots of campaign money (+ spending it to…*gasp*…campaign) is a bad thing, is just beyond me. As for him “going back on his word” about the public funding, I don’t give a shit. McCain also said he’d run a positive, “respectful” campaign. No deal. They’re even.
And, on topic, Wright has been discussed at length + we’ve moved beyond it months ago following Obama’s thoughtful speech on race relations. Anything inciting that kind of fear + anger revolving around racism could only be incendiary + more divisive. This ad was not only desperate, but also reckless + stupid.
