Danish danseur Jeppe Hansen found himself pas de bourée-ing out in the cold after the Royal Winnipeg Ballet allegedly kicked him out for finding another way of expressing his art: gay porn.
Hansen started dancing at the age of two and has performed in the Royal Danish Opera, The Ballet in Tivoli Gardens and even for the queen of Denmark. He beat out thousands of hoofers to land a scholarship in the prestigious academy, but once he started pirouetting on penises, he claims the RWB bid him adieu.
Fans of white twink porn may recognize Hansen’s ridiculously tight little body from the Cockyboys stable of stars where he goes by the name Jett Black:
Jett Black has been an artist his entire life. He loves to move his body and perform in front of other people, so you can see why making porn is no different to him. In fact, being naked on screen adds another layer of depth when he’s expressing himself, a certain “raw passion” he says, that he’s proud to share with the world. As long as he’s in a safe, comfortable environment, Jett loves to show off and turn guys on. […]
Watching Jett stroke himself was like experiencing a true work of art — there’s strength, passion, emotion, and creativity. The movements then slowly build up and intensify until the grand finale. With a performance like Jett’s, I think it’s safe to say we’d all give him a standing ovation.
Well, we’re certainly at attention. With rave reviews like that spurting up, Hansen’s future as an adult film entertainer seems bright — but his ballet prospects aren’t quite as en pointe. According to the 22-year-old Dane, RWB asked him to sign a letter stating that he voluntarily withdrew from the program after he appeared in his first porno in February. Hansen left the academy in late-March then moved to New York the following month to pursue the porn thing full-time.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
While some may not understand the kid’s decision to join the at-times-seedy world of gay porn, Hansen sees the adult industry as another form of artistic expression, free of ballet’s rigid constraints.
“It was more important for me to be me and to do the things I wanted to do for once, and not what everyone else wanted,” Hansen told CBC News. “Being a ballet dancer is restrictive. Everyone tells you what you have to do, how to look, what to weigh, how to perform [and] be the artist you are.”
So before he went all Black Swan and wound up scissoring with Mila Kunis, Hansen found release through porn — in many ways. And positions. All we can say is that ballet training really shows:
Photos: Cockyboys via The Sword
Cockyboys’ founder Jake Jaxson, who wrote that glowing review, shares at least some of Hansen’s artistic aspirations when it comes to porn, noting that he’s blurring the lines between mainstream and adult entertainment. “The films are meant to be entertaining and sexual at the same time,” Jaxson said. “I don’t like movies that show young people’s heads cut off or their arms ripped from their body. And everyone goes and watches that … and those performers are not looked at as being outside of the mainstream.”
Porn certainly is making its way into the mainstream, with stars like Francois Sagat finding success with their clothes on and a Cockyboys film even making a non-X-rated show at this year’s Q Fest. Hansen is also plié-ing the line between porn and pop, having recently posed for a Liberace-inspired editorial for Paper Magazine:

But even if bottoming takes him to the top, Hansen still hasn’t given up on his first and true love.
“My dancing career is not over. And when they [officials at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet] told me that, I thought the same thing,” he said. “I’m taking a break from performing and I’ll take this break until I find a place where I can fit in as a ballet dancer.”
Best of luck to ya, Jeppe/Jett. We can’t really show you highlights from his acting reel, but take a look at Hansen doing his old day job, courtesy of CBC News:
Eric Auerbach
For some reason, I’m not quite sure The Royal Winnipeg Ballet is based in Montreal.
Cam
@Eric Auerbach:
I can’t imagine there is a huge audience in Winnipeg for ballet. Maybe i’m wrong.
Scribe38
Not really into the young twink guy thing but I would buy a ticket to see him perform. I hope things work out for him.
litper
His body is so beautiful!
Fidelio
@Eric Auerbach: LOL. Maybe the name of the Academy will offer us some clues. Ey?
Fidelio
@Eric Auerbach: Where are you suggesting it’s located?
Derek Williams
I don’t see any deleterious connection between an acting career and a dancing career. Surely audiences should flock to his on stage performances all the more with such artistry on the screen adding fascination to his versatility.
miagoodguy
Cry me a river
Niall
He’s going to make waaay more money from gay porn than ballet anyways, though he might not last as long once he ages out of his twink phase.
Dakotahgeo
The first thing this fine young man needs to do is contact the Canadian Human Right
Commission!!! Canadian law looks down on this sort of treatment very harshly. I see a legal case where this beautiful guy may never have to o anything in life after a multi-million dolar lawsuit and fines against the Royal Ballot (sic) Company. What mierda!!!
MikeMB
Um, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet is obviously in Winnipeg. How odd to think otherwise. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Winnipeg_Ballet
stadacona
@Cam “I can’t imagine there is a huge audience in Winnipeg for ballet. Maybe i’m wrong.”
Yes, you are wrong.
Dakotahgeo
@stadacona: Boyyyy, is he wrong!!! The Royal Winnipeg Ballet is utmost and one of the best! Born, raised in North Dakota, I can attest to one of the finest Ballet companies in the world!!!
mz.sam
The Royal Winnipeg Ballet Company is internationally known and has toured throughout the globe despite the underwhelmed interest for ballet in this country. Still, its such a crock for a cast member to ‘stain’ the company’s international image from a porn film made. I guess Canada is as anal retentively puritanical as this country….Bummer for Jeppe Hansen!
Ogre Magi
Wow, he is a little hotty
Mr. E. Jones
Manitoba (which Winnipeg is the capital city of) is a right wing province. Most of the financing for the ballet company comes from right wing sources. That TPTB would get rid of this kid is no surprise, even in “liberal” Canada, considering the dominance of right wing politics in the ‘Peg.
Cam
@mz.sam:
Apparently bulimia and rampant drug use (Which is illegal) is fine for ballet, but not Porn. lol
LeNair Xavier
The saddest part of this that no one has addressed thus far is how the seediness of the gay porn biz plans to use this as another sob sorry to reel in another societal reject. For that is what the porn industry overall preys on. And gay porn even more so.
So when he gets into the porn business deep enough that he has fewer alternatives besides being another prostitute on Rentboy, Rentmen, HourBoy, etc., then offs himself, then what?! After hearing of his death, you’ll be saying not like Ogre Magi “Wow, he is a little hotty”.
Instead, you’ll be saying, “Wow, he WAS a little hotty.”
Matt
What a disgrace! I’m so sick of people doing porn and thinking they can still be legit.
Milk
@Dakotahgeo:
It’s Canada, not California. People do not win million dollar lawsuit in that country.
Milk
@Matt:
You are not the one getting sick. So get over yourself!
DBBromberg
They try and make it sound like this guy will never dance again but all that happened was he got kicked out of one school thats it he can move on fuck them, also he had to figure with all the fags in the theater someone would see him doing porn and something like this could happen so it is not like he is a victim.
Derek Williams
No-one has demonstrated any negative connection between anyone’s ability as an actor and their ability as a dancer. One has got nothing to do with the other. Audiences go to the ballet to see him dance, not fuck. Purchasers of his videos watch them to see him fuck, not dance.
I hereby invent a new term: “Pornophobia”
Will this catch on?
scotlad
Really people….doing porn…which you just probably was looking at…and being legit? What the H#$@….He is being discriminated against. HE did not break the law…HE did not do anything that he was not old enough to do…. HE had a job….
Better move out of the glass house before the roof falls in on you from throwing all of those stones.
Stupid people…. homophobia is wrong and needs to be stopped everywhere, before they fire you because you have a pornographic magazine at home.
Cant have it both ways MARY!!
MikeE
None of this has anything to do with right-wing or conservative.
The Royal Winnipeg Ballet has rules. He broke them.
The student handbook states, page 12: “Please note that RWB School Professional Division students are not permitted to perform outside of the RWB School without permission from the RWB School Director. Any student wishing to participate in any additional dance program during RWB School breaks must also receive approval from the RWB School Director in advance. Requests for authorization must be submitted in writing.”
I DOUBT he went and asked for permission to perform in porn videos.
They did the right thing. If he can’t concentrate on his dance career, then he shouldn’t be taking the place of another dancer who WILL concentrate on a dance career.
Omicron
@Dakotahgeo: not a typical dance program, Mike E, keep out of our bedrooms, even if they are on DVD, old pervs!
Derek Williams
@MikeE: That’s the first reason I’ve seen so far that has legitimacy. My only question then would relate to consistency, and what “performance” was intended to mean in this context. Do they mean “perform as a dancer”, or in any context of any kind? For example, if he wanted to perform as a singer to earn a living to pay his fees and living costs, and did so without permission, would they kick him out? The most obvious way to investigate this is to see whether any other dancers have other sideline careers to supplement their incomes, were kicked out.
When I was a music student, I had to work in order to eat and pay rent etc. This was the practice of all students who were not living at home, supported by parents, and even some who were.
Omicron
@Mr. E. Jones: We’re working on that up here, takes time, get rid of Harper first, waiting for the election with bated breath LOL
J.c.
He looks great. Too bad he cant do both careers though. His dance training is what makes his body so perfect. Society should lighten up on adult entertainment in this day and age. Its a victimless crime anyway.
MikeMB
@Mr. E. Jones: If Manitoba is such a “right-wing” province, can you explain why it has been governed continuously by the left-wing NDP since the late 90s?
This story has nothing to do with right or left wing politics. I suspect that any ballet company anywhere would object to one of its dancers doing porn on the side.
boring
1) I had wondered where he went, he hasn’t released a video for awhile.
2) He’s kind of crummy at fuckin’. At least, Fuckin’ for video. I’ve seen more sexual excitement in a Faces of Death video.
3) But the attractiveness offputs the zero charisma, to be fair.
Mkiel
though I think it’s unfair most probably if it was a woman doing porn they would let her go to.
JimboinLA
I have never been to the ballet in my life but once this guy lands in a company I will bring all my friends to see him if he comes to LA.
We must support this young man.
Homophobia is partly rooted in the distaste heterosexual men have for the act of gay sex.
This man as well as Dustin Zito and even Howard Stern are all demystifying the act of gay sex and basically telling straight men to get over it.
Which they are.
Gay men think pussy is gross but you don’t see us bashing straights who like it.
Also sexuality in Denmark is much more open than here in The States.
It is up to us to make this kid the biggest ballet star since Nijinsky.
And I think we’re up to the task.
God bless you Jeppe Hansen.
Where can I buy tickets to see you perform.
Homophile
@LeNair Xavier:
and
@Matt:
I take it you never watch porn, otherwise you would be part of the problem.

It is a disgrace using Jeppe Hansen’s work as a gay porn actor to ruin his career and deny him a future as a Ballet Dancer, with Low Life’s deciding they have a right to discriminate against him … and using his gay porn career to devalue someone who clearly has talent in another genre … and whether it is Canada or any other country … discrimination is discrimination and unlawful.
Jeppe has not sexually abused under-aged boys or committed any unlawful act, so what gives someone the right to discriminate in such a degrading way. Wake Discriminators … this is 2013 … and not 1913!
Jeppe has moved on with his life. Gay porn was once a part of it, but no big deal … unless you are bigoted and an unlawful discriminator … so let him live his life and make a career as a Ballet Dancer, and stop causing and inflicting such unjustified pain to a young and talented man who wants the opportunity to show the world with an interest in ballet he has something to offer.
LeNair Xavier
@Homophile:
Why don’t you click on the link that my name goes to. Better yet, google my name, and see what you find. Best move of all click on this link, and you’ll see that I have every right to take the position that I do…because of MY gay porn past that I make no secret of:
http://www.tresx-rayvision.com/2013/07/gay-pornstarsour-gay-super-heroes.html
And it was because of the way the gay porn industry was changing FOR THE WORST was the reason that I left. And now, my gay porn viewing is of amateur porn on tube sites. So please, before you hurl accusations and attempts at insults, please do your research when the means to do so presented to you. Thank you.
Eric Auerbach
@bearfuzzlover: Who says his career has been ruined? Who’s denying him a chance to be a dancer? Last time I checked, RWB wasn’t the only ballet school out there. So enough with the pearl-clutching, you silly dimwitted drama queen.
Homophile
@LeNair Xavier:
All I see is someone who thinks he’s an expert after 10 scenes. Sounds more like you feel ashamed and guilty so now you’re trying to remedy that.
I dated a guy who was a Falcon actor and had nothing but positive things to say about his experience. Considering the sex industry is a multi billion dollar business, like with any industry there are going to be happy endings and tragic endings.
Yours isn’t the be all end all experience.
Eric Auerbach
@Homophile: You sucked some porn star’s dick and now you’re an expert on porn? I’d take LeNair’s opinion on the subject over yours any day of the week.
balehead
he’s talented and cute….What else do you expect from Winnipeg, Manitoba?…
oilburner
Too bad so sad. what sucks about this situation is both ballet and porn have the lifespan of a fly. Oh well at least he’s hot.
ecllips
@Derek Williams: Porn disgusts me, I refuse to watch it. My boyfriend use to be a webcam model in order to make ends meet while working on becoming a certified personal trainer. He saved a few print screen pics of what some people typed on there. All I can say after reading their comments is that their minds are warped and foul. Porn is a horrible thing, sure it helps some people make ends meet while they are trying to better their lives and trying to find more options, but just find a boyfriend/husband and stay away from the porno garbage instead when possible.
Reid Condit
I’m good with pornophobia, defined as the irrational hatred of porn, to include all those who create it.
RWB is just being stupid. Maybe this organization feels threatened. There is an argument to be made, after all, that a lot of ballet is just gay porn in a dance belt. Fear not, ballet will survive, dance belts notwithstanding.
Cam

The fact that they specifically mention “Dance” would indicate that the rule applies to Dance performances outside of school.
Errol Semple
No more Royal Winnipeg Ballet for me. Their rules are discriminatory.
MikeE
@Cam: well, it would seem that Jeppe Hansen considers his foray into porn as a form of “dance” as well, so your objection is trumped by the very person who is complaining about this “unfair” rule.
The rule is in place to ensure that students who are given scholarships and a rare position in this professional-level school actually USE that opportunity as it was intended: to lead them to a professional career in dance.
Those who are defending this young idiot’s stupid decision, are, well, as stupid as he is.
Though more than likely, none of you know anything about the performing arts except what you look up on the web. Hansen’s poor judgement is inexcusable. he’s in the middle of it and knows the commitment expected of him. Either he does it, or he doesn’t.
He chose not to do it, so it is only fair that he give up the money he was given for that very purpose, and the coveted position he was afforded, so that someone more deserving can make use of it.
balehead
Have acquaintance who worked for the RWB…..The RWB is full of drugs and predators…..maybe he refused to go their cottage by the lake orgies?….Lots of sexual abuse in that company….
Reid Condit
On the other hand, maybe he went too often. Only Jeppe can say. Meanwhile, I suggest he test the waters in San Francisco where the SF Ballet is said to run a first-rate school.
MikeMB
The complaints of homophobia are ridiculous. Any ballet dancer, male or female, who did porn on the side would be kicked out of their ballet company, wherever that company might be located. The RWB is a top tier ballet school and the dancers are treated as mini-celebrities in Winnipeg. I’m about as liberal on these issues as they come and I think the ballet’s decision is the correct one.
Also, it’s not like those cases where a teacher (or whatever) did porn 10 years ago…this kid was doing porn at the same time he was performing ballet.
Reid Condit
It seems to me the reaction of the RWB to Jeppe’s performances as Jett Black was more “kneejerk” than “correct.” In any case, the whole affair reeks of pornophobia, and not necessarily homophobia. MokeMB is hardly as liberal as he would like to think himself. RWB has done neither itself nor Jeppe a favor by driving him out.
royster
no reason to sashay away…chante, you stay!
miagoodguy
A ballet school that is homophobic? Really? I guess they don’t realize there is a large percentage of their male ballet dancers that are gay. ha
MikeE
@balehead: oh shut the hell up. you don’t know anyone.
LeNair Xavier
@Homophile:
You’re old, aren’t you? Because only old guys debate me on my knowledge like you do. Every discussion I’ve moderated about the gay porn industry it’s the old guys who get defensive, whining like 5 year-old when you take their toys away.
Plus, you are COMPLETELY on the outside looking in about the porn industry. The info you got from this nameless person from Falcon is hearsay to me. And there’s a reason courts consider those who give accounts of hearsay irrelevant witnesses.
My 10 scenes that you want to TRY and undermine puts me TWO STEPS AHEAD of you. For I was once on the outside looking in like you were and still are. Then I got FIRSTHAND inside information about the industry by actually being in it. Now, I am back on the outside like you, but because of my firsthand info from before, I am still ahead of you.
So the next time you want to undermine someone’s knowledge of a situation, have the FIRSTHAND experience and knowledge to back it up. Not hearsay.
samfw
@ecllips: In your comment, you go from “porn disgusts me,” which is a personal opinion (and one you’re certainly entitled to hold) to “porn is a horrible thing.” The latter sounds very much like a decree, you making law for other people. Porn surely CAN be a horrible thing; so can religion, so can football, so can 2% milk. But there’s no reason that anyone should listen to your rules or declarations for others.
dwndckd
@ samfw…LMAO… 2% milk….
bearfuzzlover
@samfw: The “Disgust” button was pressed in error.
SteveCampsOut
@MikeE: Just how exactly is a “Porn Video” equal to a “Musical or Dance Performance”?
Stache1
@Homophile: I worked with Falcon 10 years ago. I have nothing but good memories of my experience. @LeNair Xavier: Everything that Homophile said was spot on. You’re so defensive and just smug though. Can you have a rational conversation that doesn’t include lashing out at people?
Btw. I’ve done porn. I got out and that was that. Definitely doesn’t define me today though. The people that have issues today from it had issues before they got into it too.
Doughosier
One of my favorite porn guys. I had no idea he was so multi talented!

There is nothing more sexy and hot than a dancer’s ass.

As a gay man, I get infuriated when I see that many of my gay brothers are unable to differentiate between porn and a mainstream job.
Porn is porn and I believe it will always be frowned upon. Certainly, I cannot see a time when a person actively involved performing in porn would be embraced by an organisation such as this one. A companies reputation can be seriously damaged by such things. Sad to say dear brothers, as much as we love it, porn is there for private entertainment. A colleague at my company appeared in a porn film broadcast on a British porn channel. It wasn’t long before this came into work knowledge. A copy of the broadcast was seen by all and sundry, the guy went off sick for 6 months to let it die down. He was issued with a warning as there was potential to cause the company reputational damage. A warning was issued throughout the business about such activity to prevent future occurrences.
What a person does in private or before should not matter. I made one porn film as a younger man, In those days it was available to a selective audience who would buy it from a sex shop. If I was young now I would not consider it unless I could make it my sole source of income. I think its reasonable that people consider the consequence of their actions and not just bleat on the unfairness.
And a final gripe, porn performers are not actors, they are doing it for real. There is no correlation between porn and dance.
SteveDenver
REPUTATION: The private ballet school has one to maintain and the one he has chosen to establish for himself doesn’t mesh.
He is what my friends and I call CUPID (cute+stupid)
SteveDenver
@Reid Condit: Even in SF, I doubt the ballet company wants a porn star to augment their reputation with his. Poor deluded kid: he doesn’t realize that sometimes one must make CHOICES.
Reid Condit
CUPID = cute + stupid! That’s a good one. But contradictions, i.e., dance belts vs. thongs or less in this case, are in reality not so necessarily at odds for those who undertake to ignore them and reject any necessity for choice. CUPIDITY sometimes wins.
Doughosier
He’s beautiful. If he dances as well as he performs in porn, he’ll be a huge success.
Reid Condit
@SteveDonner: I wouldn’t infer that Jett Black doesn’t know about the necessity for making choices. In this case the choice was between acknowledging himself as a porn performer, maybe even porn star, and standing up to pornophobia in his ballet company. He made the right choice and it’s not so different from challenging homophobia by coming out. Moreover, there is a tradition of male ballet dancers allowing themselves to be photographed nude. Granted there’s a difference between posing nude and posing having homosex, but how great is it? Not huge in the imaginations of most viewers I would guess.
SteveDenver
@Reid Condit: “Pornophobia”? What a load of B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T. He was on a scholarship and exhibited extreme lack of judgment.
