He’s a provacateur. It’s a legitimate type of comedy, although I’ve not really checked him out in depth myself. I don’t think I’ve watched anything from him since the Ali G. Show and even then I only watched clips. His On Point interview was fantastic though and he actually puts himself into tenuous situations to get his films done.

This is hilarious stuff from Sacha Baron Cohen. He’s basically sending up the gay community’s obsession with identity politics. He’s also sending up straight-identifying men and their fear of any homosexual desires that may exist within themselves.
