Secret Gay Subtext Behind “Game Of Thrones” Revealed

Maybe it’s the smooth jazz cover of the show’s theme song that brings out the real nuance.

Or it could be we were too focused on Prince Oberyn fantasies to really pay attention.

But whatever the reason, this clip from HBO’s Game of Thrones really leaves nothing to interpretation: the Night’s Watch is gay as Christmas.

Why would a show with openly gay characters like Renly Baratheon and Loras Tyrell, and bisexuals like Oberyn Martell and Ellaria Sand, need any gay subtext? The gay sex is pretty much there to be seen.

BTW, Jon and Sam do not end up together.

The only thing that made me giggle was the jazzy version of the theme song.

I’ve never seen the show! hmmm

@ AxelDC Renly Baratheon and Loras Tyrell aren’t really openly gay. apparently, even in the show people don’t take homosexual kings seriously

the gay storylines were very good but has such sad endings. but then again a lot of people get killed off the show so this show is mostly made up of sad endings. It is so hard to let go of your most favorite character. When I saw Oberyn Martell head smushed my heart went “AWWWEEE.”

Hope the show keeps the cool jazz soundtrack but let the idle chatter be killed off like many of its characters.
