Sydney’s Anglican Archbishop backed a local school’s decision to ban gay couples from their end-of-the-year dance. Said Peter Jensen: “People do send their children to our schools – they send them there on the understanding that we understand from the teaching of the Bible that the expression of same-sex attraction … is morally wrong.” [The Australian]

Hm. Well MY sincerely-held religious faith (which, as a religious faith, must be respected and unquestioned by everyone) is that unattractive people are made that way because god disapproves of them. So any unattractive couples, or couples in which one member is deemed “unattractive” in my eyes (which are of course the eyes of god hisowndamnself) should also be banned from prom. Unattractive people parading about in distasteful attire is an abomination unto the lord. See to it, Sydney!

This morally wrong business drives me crazy. I came home yesterday from work and there was (another) stray cat, barely older than a kitten wanting attention. I petted him but then I thought what if some mean person comes up and this innocent thing doesn’t know it can be tortured? And the point of all this? Is it morally wrong to discard pets? Is it morally wrong for people to work for slave wages? Is it morally wrong to wage war other than for self defense? All of these questions, including the innocent cat, are FAR MORE IMPORTANT than dealing with what people at the age of consent do in bed!!! Religious hypocritcal bastards!

Telling people that something is true, when there is no evidence for it whatsoever (e.g., that there is an entity called God, and that this entity inspired the arbitrary mishmash of psychotic texts called the Bible) — now _that’s_ morally wrong.
