It was supposed to be called Miami Social Club, but realizing that if you add The Real Housewives in front of a city’s name you’re almost guaranteed to generate viewer interest (minus Washington D.C.), Bravo’s 422nd spin-off of the show heads to South Beach in The Real Housewives of Miami. With a drag queen!
Just as we’re gearing up for the gay boys of LOGO’s A-List: New York comes word the Housewives serial will finally ditch its straight-woman-only policy with the casting of Elaine Lancaster. The Dennis Rodman pal is set to star alongside Scottie Pippin’s wife Larsa, former Miami Heat baller Glen Rice’s ex-wife Christy, art scene socialite Adriana Sidi, Venue Magazine editor Alexia Echeverria, public relations maven Marysol Patton, and charity scenester Lea Black.
Real name James Davis, Lancaster tells Michael Musto he will appear on the show both in and out of his heels and wig when the show premieres in November or December. And at long last Andy Cohen can have the Watch What Happens Live drag queen playdate he’s been dying for.
