TRAGEDY STRIKES

UPDATE: 50 Dead In Orlando Gay Club Attack; Here’s What We Know So Far

orlando-pulse-attack

Details continue to emerge amid the chaos of what’s being described as the deadliest mass shooting in United States history late Saturday night at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando.

Now Orlando Police Chief John Mina has upped the casualty list to a staggering 103, with 50 dead and another 53 injured.

Police say the gunman, Omar Mateen, 29, of Fort Pierce, FL, stormed the downtown nightclub around 2 a.m., opening fire on the crowd. He then took dozens of people hostage in a an hours-long standoff with police. That ended around 5 a.m., when authorities executed e a rescue operation during which Mateen was shot and killed. Police drove a truck through the wall to distract the shooter.

“Our SWAT officers exchanged gunfire with the suspect. The suspect is dead,” Mina said at a press conference. “He appeared to be carrying a rifle, an assault-type rifle and a handgun and had some type of device on him.”

FBI agent Ron Hopper said Mateen may have ties to radical Islam, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

“We are investigating this from all points of perspective as an act of terrorism,” said Special Agent Danny Banks, in charge of Florida’s Department of Law Enforcement.

Pulse posted a brief and harrowing Facebook message during the attack, urging patrons to find safety:

Screen Shot 2016-06-12 at 8.17.28 AM

Christopher Hansen was getting a drink by the bar when he “just saw bodies going down,” he told CNN.

“It’s just shocking, just one after another after another. It could have lasted a whole song.”

He instinctually dropped to the ground and crawled along the floor, eventually finding a man who had been shot.

“I took my bandana off and shoved it in the hole in his back,” Hansen said.

“The shots did not sound like a regular handgun. It sounded like it was shooting repetitively and it wouldn’t stop,” said Anthony Torres, who was also inside the club.

President Obama is receiving updates from Homeland Security and is expected to address the nation soon. (UPDATE: See President Obama’s remarks here.)

Orlando blood donation centers have been overwhelmed, though it should be noted there are still federal restrictions on gay men donating blood in place.

A rumor circulated online that the ban was lifted temporarily due to these extreme circumstances, but it was later reported to be unfounded.

Steve Helling, a writer at People, shared this video of “600 people in line waiting to donate blood for the victims”:

The attack at Pulse was only a few miles from Orlando’s Plaza Live theater, where 22-year-old The Voice singer Christina Grimmie was shot and killed Friday night.

Now isn’t the time for politics and as a nation we need to come together for the victims. This is a sad day in this nations history. We need unity and not division.

  • kayakriver

Maybe the gays will wake up to the fact that Islam is against us too.

  • GC1985

@kayakriver: And this is exactly the sort of disrespect towards the victims I was talking about.

If you can’t help but being an ass, please say nothing at all.

  • joeyty

The Queerty goofballs will still start shrieking that “Christianity is just as bad !”

  • GC1985

I guess some will try to score political points no matter the situation.

This is a tragedy and more investigation needs to be done into the motives. All forms of religious extremist is bad, but what happened here is unclear.

  • modelo giro

Very scary. We are not even safe in a gay club then where?

  • IDoNotHaveToAgreeWithYou

@GC1985: No you are disrespecting the victims by trying to cover up the cause of their death.

  • GC1985

@IDoNotHaveToAgreeWithYou: And how am I doing that? I could respond with vulgarities, but I’m not going to bother. My first post in this article was about unity. If you want to post incorrect nonsense about what I said, go ahead. I don’t have time for lies.

  • martinbakman

@kayakriver: You mean how their judges have us hung by the neck until dead or their leaders have us tossed off of roof tops and finished off with stoning. Is that what you mean by being against us?

Sorry but the libs need to quiet down about letting Syrian and Iraqi refugees into the West.

  • GC1985

I want a full and thorough investigation. And I also want justice. Supporting a certain man who wants more violence isn’t the answer.

  • Brian

The killer was Muslim. Don’t deny it.

I also thought Billie Jean King’s alleged tweet was insensitive. She needs to shut up.

  • GC1985

@martinbakman: The shooter was born in this country and wasn’t a refugee. Your attacks on “libs” is clueless.

  • Me2

How the hell can ANYONE get into a club with an assault rifle?

  • martinbakman

@GC1985: So dude, are the San Bernadino victims allowed to say anything about Islam or the Paris victims? Just curious how long we’re supposed to act like sheep.

  • Paco

The father of the shooter had the nerve to blame this horrific terrorist attack, on two gay men that were kissing in front of his son recently, instead of his religiously tainted bias against gays.

    The denial is sickening.

“Because of his name and heritage, there were immediate questions about Mateen’s possible ties to Islamic fundamentalism — but his father said it may have been a recent incident involving two men showing each other affection that set the gunman off.

“We were in Downtown Miami, Bayside, people were playing music. And he saw two men kissing each other in front of his wife and kid and he got very angry,” Mir Seddique, told NBC News on Sunday. “They were kissing each other and touching each other and he said, ‘Look at that. In front of my son they are doing that.’ And then we were in the men’s bathroom and men were kissing each other.”

  • nycbklyn

This is everyday life for gay people in Muslim countries but the ultra lineral gays will blame gun laws and whitey in the end

  • nycbklyn

@GC1985: its a reality gauranteed you are a christisn hater protecting everyone except whites and christianity typical gay liberal trying to limit other peoples freedom of speech

  • GC1985

@martinbakman: I never said they couldn’t. And I think we need to confront this scourge in an effective way. I am just not mindlessly ignorant into thinking building a wall or supporting a loud mouth bigot is the way to go.

Obviously Islamic fundamentalism is a major problem that needs to be confronted. Carpet bombing other countries isn’t the solution.

  • Dave Downunder

Just reading through these posts. So much for not getting political and focusing on the victims. Keep a little perspective guys and deal with the immediate issue of support for these poor guys and their families.

  • GC1985

@nycbklyn: how so? You right wingers come on here and try to score political brownie points of the deaths of others.

I’m not silencing anyone. But we have posters on here telling “libs need to shut up” and other nonsense. Your hypocrisy is showing.

  • joeyty

@GC1985: No one’s trying to score political points. Just being honest about a certain religion.

  • GC1985

    @Dave Downunder: I really don’t know why I bothered.

I hope for a thorough investigation and justice for those who lost their lives in this tragedy. That is all. Vengeance will not bring those who lost their lives back. Honoring them is the best we can do and not being afraid.

  • joeyty

@GC1985: Who are you kidding ? All you’re afraid of is that somehow or other this will affect certain political outcomes.

  • GC1985

@joeyty: Oh I am sure it won’t. But keep on dreaming. You really know how to make yourself like an ignorant iinsufferable ass.

At the end of day she will still win and stand up against this violence more effectively.

Keep your drivel to yourself please.

  • nycbklyn

Im by no means a conservatibe but from the first post you were trying to limit peoples speech trying to direct the commentary i hate liberal fascists

  • Poncho Sanchez

Sometimes these mass shooters who target gays, are repressed homosexuals themselves. There are some example of gay serial killers and gay mass killers. Certainly the gay community isn’t immune from evil. Evil spawns from every race, ethnicity, religion, class and orientation group. No one escapes it.

  • GC1985

@nycbklyn: And where was I doing that? You can either listen to me or not. Nobody is forcing you loud mouth right wing [email protected] in doing anything. Stop acting like you are some kind of victim.

  • GC1985

So by saying we need unity and not division is silencing people? And I thought I have heard it all. I am not going to be dragged down into a political argument.

I am done commenting on this matter. This is very sad and I hope for justice for the victims and their family. Have your hearts open to those who lost their lives.

  • joeyty

@GC1985: You are the very first post in this entire thread, and you brought up politics.

  • GG

Shooter’s father says son, Omar Mateen, was angry over seeing two men kissing.

Why would someone object to a same-sex couple kissing? Well, they wouldn’t unless, of course, they had been taught to think that it was wrong. Which leads us right back to the same place yet again. Every time some politician speaks against same-sex marriage, every time someone puts their personal beliefs above the law or the duties of their job description to deny a glbt citizen, every time a political party enshrines discrimination in their platform, every time a religious institution denies services to someone because of their sexual orientation or to someone not because of the discriminated party’s own sexual orientation, but because someone in that person’s life is lgbt, every time “religious liberty” is invoked when it’s nothing more than a shield for discrimination, etc., etc., etc. EVERY TIME any of these things happen, the message is being sent that lgbt folk are “less than,” that they are undeserving of full equality, that they are, in fact, deserved victims of these kinds of attacks.

Am I politicizing this issue? No. Equality under the law for lgbt folk has been a political issue ever since this movement’s inception. One cannot separate, with even a modicum of success, this horrible event from the reasons why it happened. The spilt blood has forever stained the hands of ALL of those responsible.

My thoughts and prayers to all those affected by this terrible disaster.

  • joeyty

@GC1985: And stop acting like you care about anyone who was killed. Like with San Bernardino…all you’re thinking about is politics.

  • GC1985

@joeyty: I clearly did not. I said we need to avoid politics and come together for the victims.

As I said… Try to have a good day. I am done with hate.

  • nycbklyn

@GC1985: you made it political from the start you are a TROLL a rude arrogant fascist troll no one agrees with you …. I’m not a conservative … Your just a windbag no one agrees with you!!! We’re not conservative your just an SJW a$$…. Go to your safe space …

  • joeyty

    @GG: No…it’s just radical Islam.

  • DCguy

@GC1985: stated: “Now isn’t the time for politics and as a nation we need to come together for the victims. This is a sad day in this nations history. We need unity and not division.”

    =====

No, sorry, that is the exact same B.S. that the right wing gun nuts spout out after every single mass shooting. If some girl was raped, or a child kidnapped, nobody would be saying “Oh, lets not talk about how horrible it was, or offer solutions or express anger”

No, it’s only after a mass shooting that there is some sort of panicked circling of wagons to try to stop people from stating the obvious. If this psycho hadn’t been able to walk into any -Wal-Mart and buy an assault rifle this wouldn’t have happened. End of story.

So enough with your right wing troll B.S.

  • GC1985

@nycbklyn: I have been quite respectful and anyone here can see that. I am not silencing anyone. You can keep your name calling to yourself. I could easily respond to you in a similar manner but that is exactly what you want. You want rude and arrogant? Go find a mirror.

  • DCguy

    @Alistair Wiseman:

    1. The fact that you would make up a story at this time to attack democrats, when somebody who supports the GOP anti-gay agenda just slaughtered 50 people shows that your partisanship has crossed the line into true derangement.

Honestly, if you hate Democrats that much, I honestly would not be surprised to hear that you are the next shooter. Get some helps, seriously.

  • GC1985

@DCguy: I was talking about how sad it was and how justice needs to be served. I am not right wing. Solutions? More gun control and less bombings of other countries.

  • joeyty

@GC1985: “and less bombings of other countries.” What ????

  • Paco

Until religious leaders, Christian and Muslim, start admitting that their ancient dogma against gays does play a large role in planting the seeds of discrimination and sometimes violence against gays, then all of their prayers and condolences after the fact, are just paying lip service and does nothing to honor the victims.

Each and every one of them need to tell their flocks that it is normal and acceptable to be gay. But they won’t, because they don’t believe that.

  • GC1985

@joeyty: Carpet bombing other countries will not solve anything. Read and learn.

  • joeyty

@Paco: What do Christians have to do with this ? It was a homophobic Muslim. Stop being politically-correct and equating religions.

  • joeyty

@GC1985: What does that have to do with this homophobe with a nice house and job in Florida hating gay men ?

  • Paco

@joeyty: Both religions are against gays. Why would I not include both when saying they need to start teaching that their dogma is responsible for much of the discrimination against us?

  • joeyty

@Paco: Because only one religion actually kills gays. Judaism, for instance, has anti-gay texts in ancient writing, but when it comes down to what actually goes on every day, …they’re extremely gay-supportive.

  • GC1985

@joeyty: What is your solution? This man was born in your neighborhood after all. His parents probably fled the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

I really tried to keep it civil, but if you cannot address what I have said don’t bother replying to me. Vengeance isn’t the answer.

  • nycbklyn

@Paco: christians in the us have not done this its not the same, liberal gays are afraid to admit that otherwise they may be pc i wonder if any gsys will protest outside mosques like they do with westboro… Doubtful not cool not pc

  • Alistair Wiseman

    @Paco:

You are either a religious bigot or you are ignorant to the hundreds and hundreds of American Christian churches and congregations that welcome and embrace all of God’s children.

  • Paco

@joeyty: Yeah and Christians in the U.S. are trying to continue their religion based discrimination by passing anti-gay religious freedom laws which help to plant more seeds of hate against gays.

  • GC1985

@nycbklyn: So what is your solution, loud mouth? Kill all the Muslims?

    You are clearly unhinged.

  • Paco

@Alistair Wiseman: I haven’t encountered any that teach that gay is natural and normal and disavow what their scriptures say on the subject.

  • PRINCE OF SNARKNESS aka DIVKID

Oh yes the irony of someone from Afghanistan heritage becoming radicalised after “seeing two men kissing in Miami” ..I guess the operative word here was “men.” Oh the hypocrisy of these notorious child fuckers is….kinda lethal

  • GG

And to those who think this is limited to Islam, while most of our leaders have been tweeting out shock, sadness, compassion, and empathy, Dan Patrick, Lieutenant Governor of Texas, has been tweeting out Bible passages, including the following: “Do not be deceived. God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”

  • nycbklyn

@GC1985: Tell it like it is dont do covert liberal silencing of the culprit and blame guns and blame religion, blame radical islam gsys across the world should stand in solidarity with the gay arabs and africans whom are killed on a daily basis because of islamic radicalism…not cover it up and blame bombing of other countries … White guilt and pcolitical correctness and gun control helps this to continue instead of bringing the lroblem to the light and helping solve it

  • PRINCE OF SNARKNESS aka DIVKID

    *Boy fuckers (specifically )

  • Alistair Wiseman

    @DCguy:

“Make up a story”? Can you not read? Do you think I created a voter-based website just for a short post on Queerty?

Just forwarding some information that the (liberal) mainstream media will never report. You’re not exactly going to see George Clintonopoulos reporting on this in the next couple of days.

    “Get some helps [sic], seriously.”

  • GC1985

@nycbklyn: I’m not silencing anyone. I do blame guns and religion. I’ve said that several times. Who is covering up what? Seriously… I’m going to take off the gloves. You are an unhinged fanatical idiot who doesn’t know how to talk to other people. You don’t know what’s going on in this world.

I said I was leaving. Forget it, I’ll stand up for what I believe in. This has nothing to do with guilt or political correctness. And your notion that gun control helps this continue? Florida is a state with minimal gun control and where it’s easy to buy weapons.

And what is your solution? Or are you going to spew more venomous shit that doesn’t actually address what happened? You weak phony fraud!

  • GC1985

People who complain about political correctness are usually those with no backbone, no real solution and no real answers. People who complain about political correctness are usually FULL OF SHIT themselves.

  • Alistair Wiseman

    @Paco:

Then I was correct. You are ignorant to the fact that there are hundreds and hundreds of American Christian churches that are welcoming to their gay brothers and sisters.

They are out there – I attend one myself.

  • SonOfKings

@GC1985: Sorry, but you sound like a pretentious idiot. You start the convesation by saying we shouldn’t discuss politics, then YOU start talking about our “carpet bombing” of other countries. I don’t you know accurate definitions of “political” or “carpet bombing,” and you probably just need to shut up. And, by the way, I think telling they should not talk about politics is a political statement in itself, so you cancel your own argument.

  • Paco

@Alistair Wiseman: They must not be very vocal publicly. At least not enough to be heard over the many others that don’t teach that their scriptures are wrong, biased and discriminate against gays. I have no idea what your church teaches about gays, but I do hope it is more than just tolerance and is true acceptance. Tolerance isn’t good enough and leaves too much wiggle room for bias against gays to continue.

@GG: That is exactly what I was trying to say.

  • Alistair Wiseman

    @SonOfKings:

He really is not very bright.

And I am sure you picked up that there is something not quite right with him.

  • onthemark

@Paco: Oh, Jesus Fucking Christ! (so to speak). You’re usually a pretty sensible poster here, but LGBT-friendly churches include:

UCC – United Church of Christ
    Episcopal Church (US)
    Metropolitan Community Church
Old Catholic Church (offshoot of RCC from 1870)
    Swedenborgian Church of North America
    Presbyterian Church (US)
    Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
    United Church of Canada

Just a FEW of several dozen pro-gay denominations. (Plus the Unitarians, which technically are not Christian.) Try reading more. And I’m not supporting Alistair by pointing out this fact. Some of these denominations have been fire-bombed in the South for being pro-gay.

  • GC1985

@SonOfKings: Full of BS as always! People brought up politics and insisted on it, so I responded. I have a right to respond to false BS. Why don’t you just shut the fuck up for once?

  • Paco

@onthemark: Why do we never hear from these pro-gay churches publicly every time a Christian hate group gets air time on television? I wonder why the media never seems to get a sound bite from them condemning the others. Seriously, I have never heard anything but hate from Christian leaders regarding gays. Maybe the media is responsible for the one sidedness of the conversation?

  • GC1985

Leave it to the usual right wing bullshit head up the ass trolls to make a complete mockery of this situation, suggest nothing and when I ask what their solution would be run away like cowards.

    SHAME ON YOU!

  • onthemark

@Paco: We certainly DO hear from them, here in New England. I don’t know where the fuck you live? – where don’t hear from them or have never even heard of them. Maybe it has to do with media bias where you live??

  • GC1985

    @Kangol: Exactly.

I am headed off to pride shortly and this not scare me. At all.

  • Alistair Wiseman

    @Paco:

“Maybe the media is responsible for the one sidedness of the conversation?”

    Bingo! We have a winner!

We are typing on one of those that are responsible for the one sidedness.

  • onthemark

@Alistair Wiseman: LOL. Well as Lincoln said, a broken clock is right twice a day. So perhaps your time will come!

  • misterhollywood

Just extremely sad. My heart goes out to everyone who was impacted by this terrible event. Anyone of us could have been at Pulse. Hate knows no bounds – truly.

  • GC1985

@martinbakman: You’re a massive bullshit artist, and there are many Christians who have said the same thing. And basically the Lt Governor of Texas who said this shooting was justified in a tweet.

  • Paco

@Alistair Wiseman: So then I will be expecting to see Christian and Islamic leaders on the national news broadcasts tonight saying that their religions accept gays as natural and normal and that their followers must as well because their God expects it of them.

  • Billy Budd

@GG: I AGREE WITH GC: Shooter’s father says son, Omar Mateen, was angry over seeing two men kissing.

Why would someone object to a same-sex couple kissing? Well, they wouldn’t unless, of course, they had been taught to think that it was wrong. Which leads us right back to the same place yet again. • onthemark

We need to restore the ban on assault weapons, as we had in the 1990s. The ban expired because of the Republicans.

  • Alistair Wiseman

    @Paco:

The news may have someone from the Islamic faith say something to that effect, but not the Christian clergy.

The news media have an agenda and having a Christian clergyperson saying that does not fit their narrative.

  • Alistair Wiseman

    @martinbakman:

Yes, and Obama is admitting 100 Syrian refugees in the United States per day.

Virtually all of the admitted refugees are Muslim and they are being admitted after a limited “vetting” process.

Doing a bang up job, Barry!

  • NateOcean

How can one person have that much hate?

  • nycbklyn

@GC1985: u are the only one who is being vociferous and fanatical get a grip if someone doesnt agree with you, you attack, veru openminded of you..

  • GC1985

@nycbklyn: You were the one insulting and cursing like a bitch. So hypocrisy is a bitch!

Anyways enjoy your day, you crazed fanatic!

  • Hussain-TheCanadian

This is horrible, I can’t believe this has happened; the gay community is overall peaceful, largely welcoming. We know what it feels like to be hated, oppressed, and discriminated against – to see this happening to our community is tragic.

I don’t know what was the murderers motivation, why he took hostages, if he’s linked to salafism/wahabism religious and political beliefs.

I know the police and authorities will find out, we need closure, we need to know what happened and who else is responsible. The shooter’s father is a piece of shit and his homophobia is outrages. He wants to blame the victims rather than his insane, criminal, murderous son, typical deflection.

  • nycbklyn

@GC1985: go live your bitter miserable life as i lounge on the beach with my friends drinking champagne you loser…. You flagged everyone of my comments to silence me troll
@hussain-thecanadiane right on you are 100% right brother!!

  • Giancarlo86

@GC1985: You are a bitter right-wing old troll who fetishizes Nazis and pedophiles and gets off being “spanked” by other commentators here. Why not post this garbage under your own real identity instead of pretending to be me with your fake accounts? You are pathetic. Get a life.

  • Xzamilio

@Paco: All religions are bad, but not all religions are equally bad, and at the moment, Islam is the worst. It does us no favors to ignore this, and does a great disservice to the Muslims looking for reformation.

  • Xzamilio

@ingyaom: If it were even close to as pervasive and as common as Radical Islamists killing, you’d have a point. But as it is, the common examples of “other religion doing it too” consists of find random stories about Christians and Jews (some old as hell) killing in the name of their religion and propping them up against the dozens of stories about radical Muslims killing. Like I said, all bad, not equally bad.

  • Xzamilio

@Alistair Wiseman: Yeah, I’m a religious bigot, looking to stop people from worshiping their made up gods because of my personal opinion. Do you even know what a “bigot” is? Did you even read what I said? A bunch of reactionary morons on complete opposite ends that can’t see the forest for the trees on either side.

    Update…

“The gunman who opened fire at a gay nightclub in Florida early Sunday, shooting over 100 people, had called 911 moments before to pledge allegiance to the leader of ISIS, law enforcement sources told NBC News. Shooter Omar Mateen, 29, appeared to be a follower of ISIS propaganda and referenced the Tsarnaev brothers, who carried out the Boston Marathon bombings in 2013, at the scene, sources said.”

@Paco: His ex-wife reports he was also a wife-beater. The guy was a walking cliché!

I’m betting that, like the elder Tsarnaev brother, he was a drug dealer and hardly ever worked a legal job a week in his life. And like most of the 9/11 bunch, drank a lot and went to strip clubs.

This is definitely not typical Muslim behavior, but it may be typical American “Muslim” TERRORIST behavior?

  • Alistair Wiseman

    @Stilinski26:

    Shocking! Another religion bigot.

Is that because your beloved Secularism has been so successful?

With your secular Communism, Fascism and Nazism, over 100,000,000 murdered in the 20th Century.

Unfortunately there are hate filled and twisted individuals who want to kill and maim innocent people either in the name of religion or political ideology everywhere but there are few countries in the civilised world that make it so easy for those individuals to carry out their sick fantasies so readily than the US . This diabolic atrocity is an outrage to anyone with an ounce of humanity in them and is an affront to civilisation .

  • GC1985

  • MyDadPulledOut

@GC1985: Dude STFU already, you should be embarrassed to say something so cliche and trite.

  • MyDadPulledOut

@Tobi: FIFTY PEOPLE WERE BRUTALLY MURDERED BECAUSE OBAMA INVITED WAY TOO MANY OF THESE BARBARIANS INTO THE COUNTRY AT ONCE.

Assimilation into an advanced culture such as ours takes time, instead you got these throwbacks building their little Irans right here in the US.

  • MyDadPulledOut

@Paco: OF COURSE! WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE SO SURPRISED!?!?

We’ve been telling you this for years, these immigrants AREN’T BEEN ASSIMILATED and instead are coming here and still following their barbaric customs from the stone age.

  • ricardo1

@GC1985: I don’t think the commenter meant to be disrespectful.

There is a trend where you cannot recognize homophobia if it comes from certain groups. This PC nonsense needs to STOP now.

  • ricardo1

@MyDadPulledOut: LGBT rights can and will be thrown under the bus to make way for more “migrants.”

Why do we have to pay the price for cheap labor for the corporations? How many of us will have to be attacked before we get a clue?

  • onthemark

@MyDadPulledOut: But the killer wasn’t an immigrant. He was born in the USA. I haven’t heard a report yet that he even had a passport (most Americans don’t!) or had ever at any point been outside the U.S. At any rate, he was as “assimilated” as he was ever going to be, having been born here and lived here his entire life.

The problem was he had an assault rifle. Which in most countries would be considered utterly insane.

  • ricardo1

@onthemark: This is an excellent point, however he was also a security guard so he would have had access to weapons either way. Strict European gun laws didn’t stop these nut cases.

He and his family are here to colonize us, and gays will get to pay for it with our lives and our safety.

I am tired of our rights and our safety being thrown out in favor of religious nutcases.

  • blackhook

Religious hatred + sexual insecurity = Ultimate Toxic Mix

  • Captain Obvious

It’s really sad and disgusting how these people murders will be used a as a political agenda by a bunch of tools so yet another “president” can get rich quick while bloodthirsty bigots are busy calling for some random brown person’s head.

  • onthemark

@MyDadPulledOut: His parents immigrated during the Reagan administration. Perhaps you can find some extremely elderly, retired Reagan official to complain to.

@ricardo1: Yes, he was a security guard. That’s not a job usually requiring assault weapons!

  • Mandrake

This atrocity will stop the homophobes in their tracks! Anybody who politicizes this horrendous event in any sort of anti-gay rhetoric will be publicly and politically dead meat!

  • Josh in OR

Clearly, if everyone in the club had a gun, no one would be dead except the bad guy, right, NRA? Cause there’s no way that MORE guns firing in a closed space could have led to MORE death and chaos…

  • MyDadPulledOut

@Tobi: FIFTY PEOPLE WERE BRUTALLY MURDERED BECAUSE OBAMA INVITED WAY TOO MANY OF THESE BARBARIANS INTO THE COUNTRY AT ONCE.

Assimilation into an advanced culture such as ours takes time, instead you got these throwbacks building their little Irans right here in the US.@onthemark: Two seperate issues, keep them straight. So I will repeat what I said “AREN’T BEING ASSIMILATED INTO OUR CULTURE” …meaning that their children get the same caveman logic and culture.

H1B VISA is a separate issue entirely. They aren’t immigrants at all. They are just cheap labor which comes over here and literally takes jobs Ameicans can do, but corporation lie about about. There is ZERO H1B VISA holders here doing some sort of revolutionary IT programming that any American programmer can’t do better.

  • MyDadPulledOut

@Mandrake: please. “politicizes this event” …what does that even mean. I realize many of you are just here for the porn news, and largely un-educated, so I will explain. Politics is literally everything, the laws you live under, the rights which are protected, etc etc etc

Obama wanted 100,000+ more of these folks AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. Why? Assimilation takes time. Why the rush? What’s happening is that there are too many of these folks coming over here. They have so many here already that they stick to their own communities, instead of becoming Ameericans and assimilating. This would happen with any group. The danger is that this GROUP IS DANGEROUS to our health!

  • GC1985

@MyDadPulledOut: This man was born in this country, you mindless imbecile. This has nothing to do with Obama. Sometimes stupid can’t be fixed and you’re clueless. Your username is appropriate. Too bad he didn’t use a condom.

  • GC1985

@MyDadPulledOut: THIS MAN IS A US CITIZEN AND WAS BORN IN THIS COUNTRY. His parents were in this country for DECADES. He’s not rushing 100,000 people. Do you know how many people Daesh have killed throughout Iraq and Syria? Perhaps up to 200,000 dead. Many fleeing are fleeing with their lives. Yazidis and Kurds have fled in major numbers…

Your point is nonsense as the shooter was a US Citizen and was born in this country decades ago.

  • GC1985

@Tobi: YOU ARE THE PIECE OF SHIT. Are you this fucking blind you can’t read what other hatred people are directing at me? I USED TO LIVE IN FLORIDA AND I STILL HAVE FRIENDS THERE. You don’t think I’m not concerned and upset? FUCK YOU TOBI.

Some of you people don’t give two shits about any of the people who died. In fact I think you’re happy about it so you have something to say stupid.

I’m going to report you too!

YOU SHOULD BE PERMANENTLY BANNED OFF THIS SITE ALONG WITH BOB SHITMAC and others.

  • GC1985

Irrelevant? Who the hell are you tobi? I was here TALKING ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO DIED. And some creeps on here can only talk about how great Trump is. You are a shameful little man who should have been BANNED a long time ago. Especially after you excused pedophilia. I don’t get how you’re even allowed on here.

  • GC1985

I have never seen such insensitive sh*t on here. If you’re going to jump on me, bring it on. You vile horrible people have no right to even comment on this. All you see are opportunities. I don’t have anything else to say to a bunch of death profiteers who just bloodlust in their eyes. You’re no better than the terrorists who committed this act.

  • MyDadPulledOut

@GC1985: I DON’T CARE THAT HE WAS BORN HERE. YOU STILL JUST DO NOT GET IT. Because they are not assimilating and becoming Americans, you have people like the shooters father, who said two men kissing each other caused this man to shoot up a club, just like in France, a cartooon CAUSED people to go and shoot the cartoonist. The problem is fundamentalist Islam, and these barbaric cultures. Both coming here and setting up shop. We have no obligation to those people.

  • MediaGuy

Yup, now it should be pretty clear that the muslims have come for us. Just the start.

  • MyDadPulledOut

How many gays are killed each year in Iran? How many Kurds have killed, stoned to death gays in Iraq? It’s not just ISIS. The only difference is that ISIS has a good publicist. Whereas, these other groups hide it, and of course, you queens, if it’s not in English and on YouTube then it doesn’t exist. But, REALITY is that thousands of gays are MURDERED each year in these countries as a state sanctioned policy.

  • GC1985

@MyDadPulledOut: I am not excusing any form of their behavior, you ignoramus. You just don’t know how to read. Fundamentalism is bad in ANY religion, including ISLAM. I just don’t buy into the paranoia of Donald Trump (who would make this country far more vulnerable).

  • ricardo1

@MyDadPulledOut: As usual we will have people acting as apologists for these maniacs. Note: I am against our ridiculous wars in the Middle East. I don’t want our troops going over there and I don’t want their nutcases coming over here. When are we going to stop importing these problems? How many more innocent gays have to be thrown under the bus before we get a clue?

  • The End

@ricardo1: http://www.slate.com/blogs/outward/2016/06/12/pulse_nightclub_shooting_and_tragic_history_of_violence_at_lgbtq_clubs_in.html where they imported? What about the one on his way to LA, was he imported?

No one is trying to cover up islam being responsible for this one. But to deny that the main problem is religion in general is short sighted. If you smoke brand X cigarettes and get lung cancer you don’t say ‘brand x cigarettes give you cancer’ you say ‘cigarettes give you cancer’. You don’t get to say christianity hates you but it could be worse. You can’t say to a child molested by a clergyman ‘I’m sorry for what’s happened but it could be worse. You could be under islam and be married to a grown man’.

If you want to know what christianity can do to gays go to Jamaica or Uganda. Want to know what islam does then go to saudi arabia

  • GC1985

@ricardo1: Who is being the apologist when I said I want them crushed multiple times?

So how do you purpose keeping refugees out? What about people fleeing the violence there? Just build a wall and shoot them if they come near it? Just like in East Germany. You don’t have any real ideas. You’re just a lot of talk.

And what about the guy in LA? He wasn’t a refugee or even Muslim. That would have turned into a real tragedy. As suspected, you have no real answers!

  • Giancarlo86

@GC1985: You are mentally ill. Ask for some help. You need it.

  • MyDadPulledOut

@Paco: WOW! Just ….WOW! You’re a complete fool. That reason has to do with his religion you moron. That’s why he called 911 prior to the attack pledged his loyalty to ISIS. I mean…I… I just wonder, how do people like you even survive day to day living, lacking any sort of logical reasoning skills whatsoever?

  • Billy Budd

I don’t think that muslim immigrants should be forbidden. But there should be GUN CONTROL in America. It is sheer madness to allow everyone to have weapons of mass destruction. Here in Brazil the population is almost totally unarmed.

  • Billy Budd

One of the boys at the club wrote I LOVE YOU MOMMY at [email protected] when he was trapped in the bathroom. No one knows what happened to him. He is missing. It breaks my heart.

  • MyDadPulledOut

@ricardo1: Word brother. It’s too bad so many of our gays are as dumb as they are cute.

As to you gun control cry-babies, who like to turn everything into some BS about gun regulations, Ask gays in London, Sweden, or Germany if they still feel safe with all the new “refugees” …if you dare read something other than those articles which only serve to self-referentially confirm your own views.

You can do it! I believe in you! Just use manhunt or adam4adam, you can talk to people in other countries.

  • MyDadPulledOut

@Billy Budd: Buddy, you sound like a reasonable sort, don’t say stuff like that. Nobodu, including Trump, wants to ban all Muslims from entering. That’s just the crap they are feeding the democrats wtih…. We have legal immigration in this country. Every year people from all sorts of countries come here, Only now, for some reason, Obama thinks it is imperative, that we absorb hundreds of thousands of barbarians from halfway across the world.

Why not refugees from Africa? There are lots of wars going on in Africa? See…because it’s about an agenda, Obama is making good on promises made to his backers, people like, the muslim brotherhood,.

  • Billy Budd

@MyDadPulledOut: OK, you are afraid of immigrants who are religious fanatics. But are you against gun control? I must also add that I am indeed a cry-baby. I cried like a fool right now after reading about the boy. How not to cry when fifty gay boys were killed?

  • MyDadPulledOut

@Billy Budd: I cried at that poor mother too and took the opportunity to call my mom and tell her I love her. There we’re both human. The point is that the democrats are approaching gun control as an incrementalist way to eliminate gun ownership entirely, so as long as that is the underlying philosophy, it’s correct that the NRA take the stance that they do. IF however, people approached it from the perspective, that every American has a constitutional right to own a gun, then there could be reasonable regulations in place. Furthermore, this constant hysteria with you people is just utterly sickening. I mean I’ve some gays literally fall apart crying upon seeing a gun. The problem is that “gun control” does not control guns for people want to commit violence. This incident, has, NOTHING, to do with the gun control issue, but it doesn’t stop these 1 issue agenda driven nuts from trying to turn it into that, and that’s just sad.

  • MyDadPulledOut

@Billy Budd: of course, …..of course, you ignored the meat of my post, so i’ll post it again…

Ask gays in London, Sweden, or Germany if they still feel safe with all the new “refugees” …if you dare read something other than those articles which only serve to self-referentially confirm your own views.
You can do it! I believe in you! Just use manhunt or adam4adam, you can talk to people in other countries a bout stuff OTHER than hooking up. You literally have the world at your finger tips. Ask those gays how they have been affected by the new ‘immigrants’

  • The End

@MyDadPulledOut: I feel safe. It’s my home country not theirs. It isn’t going to adopt sharia law.

Gun control makes it HARDER for people to get them. Do you lack logic? This is only a problem on America. No one else in the western modern world, and apart from the middle east, the rest of it too has things like this happen so much. The thing they have in common? Religious nuts having easy access to all the guns they want. I’m well aware the black market for weapons exists but the way to stop the black market is not to saturate the market, make it legal and turn it into a profit generator.

You also ignored what I’d said and the article I posted about the white none immigrant gun violence on gay bars.

You have a victim mentality. You refuse to see gun control as simply trying to stop people getting killed my religious idiots in huge numbers for not agreeing to their ideals. You only see it as the government trying to take away your precious guns. Always the paranoid victim who thinks the government just want to take his toys away.

  • GC1985

    @Giancarlo86: Says the fake stalker.

@MyDadPulledOut: The only ignorant fool here is you with your inane rants on guns. Maybe you should actually ask the people in Europe what they think you lemming. You don’t want gun control because you love your guns. We get it already. That clouded your judgment. And what was wrong with that article? That political party is progay. That is stated as one of their positions. You provide me with one wikipedia article that doesn’t prove any sort of pattern.

You are a liar. You have lied about what Obama wants and you believe Trump. A liar and gullible fool. Trump doesn’t have your best interests at heart. I don’t care for liars.

You are incredibly dumb and misinformed. A hypocrite too.

  • GC1985

Yes guys… We are dumb. Apparently not dumb enough to support Trump and no gun control. Funny how America with all its guns has more incidents and more gun related violence than any European country or any developed country in the world. But someone as dull this troll wants us to believe otherwise and that Trump is out to help us lol.

He just doesn’t want Hillary elected because she would impose more background checks and a ban on assault rifles.

He tries to claim it isn’t a gun control issue… And I say bullsh*t.

  • gayhope1990

@GC1985/Shut up stupid spick!!!Islam is a cancer.Muslim fanatics are just honest.
Every religious people hate gay, lesbian,bi,trans people.

  • The End

@gayhope1990: you seem to be confused. I swear he said it’s a problem with all religions. See cancer analogy above

  • GC1985

@gayhope1990: Next time ask. Don’t use bigoted language. All extremists are a problem. Maybe you should shut up. Many of the victims were Latino. Are you going to use the same filthy language towards them?

  • GC1985

@The End: He is just another hateful bigot who basically used a slur that insulted not just me, but the victims of this tragedy. Ignore bigots in every form.

  • gayhope1990

I don’t think so.I just fed up to hear your leftist nonsences.I’m gay so I can’t be bigot.Leftists are worst than muslims.Islam is a cancer and leftists are a tuùmour.Spick is just a slang word it’s not a slur.Stop your drama

  • GC1985

@gayhope1990: You are just as ignorant as I thought. You are also [email protected] Leftists are the only ones standing up to extremism. Use your mind for once. And no, it is a slur. You aren’t wanted here and you have been reported.

  • gayhope1990

Stupid leftist. It’s you the hateful not me.Go eat your tortilla or your ceviche.

  • GC1985

@gayhope1990: Lovely stupid [email protected] You aren’t wanted here. Go back to your BNP meeting so you can cry about the London mayor.

  • gayhope1990

Queerty is not yours.Take your medicines you’re turning insane. You don’t have a free pass to decide who can post or not real.Ah leftist and the freedom of speech.

  • GC1985

@gayhope1990: You are a bigot. Now that is insane and inane at the same time. Total bigot. As they say in your country… PISS OFF! Nobody asked you to post. There is no freedom of speech on a privately owned website.

  • onthemark

@Billy Budd: “Here in Brazil the population is almost totally unarmed.”

According to United Nations statistics, Brazil has a murder rate over SIX TIMES HIGHER than the U.S.

So come on – do they really manage to do that all with knives? Poison?

You’re always making ridiculous claims about Brazil, so I just HAD to look that one up!

  • onthemark

@Billy Budd: To be clear I agree with you about gun regulation, but it certainly doesn’t seem to be working well in Brazil! If that’s your point.

  • john.k

Reading the foregoing is really depressing. In the face of an awful tragedy all contributors can do is snipe at and insult one another. What happened to mutual respect? What happened to solidarity? What happened to compassion? And what on earth has become of civility in discourse in America?

  • onthemark

@john.k: “And what on earth has become of civility in discourse in America?”

Oh well, it was always thus. Or worse. I recently learned that in the election of 1800, the supporters of Thomas Jefferson called President John Adams a hermaphrodite. (Now THAT’S something they didn’t tell me in high school!) And of course, a few years after that, Vice President Burr shot Alexander Hamilton to death.

I assume you are not old enough to remember 1968? Don’t worry too much about all this.

  • john.k

@onthemark: Actually I do remember 1968 – a traumatic year for the US. Yet despite the racism, the Vietnam war, the assassinations and the many other problems the US had at the time there was also a core of idealism that seems to be missing now. Maybe that 1960s idealism was in its death throes in 1968.

  • gayhope1990

@GGC1985:The troll it’s you.Your hobby is playing victim card and insult anybody else if we don’t agree with you.Get real little fascist.Mussolini was leftist before creating the fascism movement. No wonder the behavior of leftists, they hate the freedom of speech.

  • GC1985

@gayhope1990: You’re beyond help. You aren’t even worth my time anymore. Playing victim? Who the hell are you? You stupid stupid thing. Nobody asked you to come on here and post your broken sentences. This website is PRIVATELY owned. Deal with it! There is NO freedom of speech on the internet. And you’re posting superlate (or super early) for someone living in England. You’re a liar.

  • gayhope1990

No I wake up early as usual.I’m get up at 3 o clock as usual.

  • Invert

Hmmm, so the ‘T’ in LGBTI stands for “Tourette’s” now, does it?

(“Shut up!”, “Go away!”, “Fuck off!”, “Piss off!”, “Fuck you!”, “Piece of shit!”, “Shithead!”, “Shut the fuck up!”) – just from this thread alone- from the same mentally ill poster who manages to sound crazier than any of the “right wing trolls” she screams at. Well done on that.

  • MyDadPulledOut

@joeyty: I don’t what these went through in regards to Christianity, but they you’re right, they need mental help. I grew up in the south, surrounded by christian nuts, and I do not harbor this level of hate that these fools here seem to have.

The most that “Christians” have ever done to me, is give me a mean look when I kissed a boy.

@Invert: You got to understand, these people are largely uneducated, everything they know comes second hand from some queen in some bar. They simply don’t know to discuss something that challenges their world view.

  • MyDadPulledOut
