“ABC, Knight Screwed Me,” Sez Washington

Isaiah Washington‘s big mouth’s flapping again. The former Grey’s Anatomy star sat down with Houston Chronicle to clear up that entire faggot-flinging incident.

As we all know, Washington got canned months after calling TR Knight a faggot, doing a GLAAD PSA and going to bigot rehab. Despite all this, ABC decided not to renew the actor’s contract for its hit medical drama.

Now, hot on the heels of Jasmyne Cannick’s controversial petition, Washington’s saying ABC fired the wrong guy. It’s TR Knight that should have been sacked, says Washington.

The scandal stricken star tells Houston Chronicle Knight lied to the world when he appeared on Ellen and explained the situation. Knight told us what we already heard: Washington argued with Patrick Dempsey, said, “I’m not your little faggot like TR,” or something to that effect and then the crew went back to work. Washington, however, says otherwise.

That’s a lie. I used the word during a disagreement with Patrick. I apologized for that. We shook hands and went back to work. My livelihood, my honor and dignity and my name have been so challenged. I was not fired for making homophobic slurs. I did everything I said I would do. I offered to go to counseling, to do a public service announcement. I wanted everyone to know I was remorseful.

Washington also claims Knight stirred up the bad press to insure a pay raise and get him off set. Washington’s so distressed, in fact, he’s considering a lawsuit against ABC.

And so it continues…
