Baldwin + Polis Think All Your ENDA + DADT Dreams Will Be Answered By Next Year
Well it’s nice to know Reps. Tammy Baldwin and Jared Polis are super confident that federal employees will get same-sex benefits this year, and that ENDA will pass and DADT will be repealed next year. But where, oh where, is Barney Frank’s name in this report?
How about those who DON’T work for the fucking government? What are we gonna get?
Tom Duane was super-confident about same-sex marriage getting voted in too.
ENDA is DOA in the US Senate. Baldwin and Polis can mislead in order to raise money all they want. There is no ENDA legislation on the horizon.
The outlook for ENDA still seems promising, but we can’t take anything for granted. We’ve got to keep fighting. For me, that includes withholding my support from the democratic party until they give me my rights.
