If you own a tuxedo, how is it “recycling” if you wear it more than once?

Fifty years ago, a gentleman typically wore “black tie” or other formal attire atleast once a week. Back then you didn’t even go to a fine restaurant, nightclub, or party UNLESS you were in a tux, dinner jacket or cutaway.
