David Ellis Dickerson Will Solve Your Coming Out Emergency
When we featured a handful of gay-themed greeting cards last week, little did we know we hit upon the work of David Ellis Dickerson, a former Hallmark writer. He’s probably heard all your greeting card profession punchlines, and we’re guessing he’s seen 500 Days of Summer (the only film we know of where greeting cards are actually a character unto themselves). But he’s also a creative fella, filling the void American Greetings and Papyrus has left behind: coming out cards.
He doesn’t only specialize in cards to announce you’re a ‘mo (here are cards for “toilet emergencies”!), but for obvious reasons, they’re the ones we love the most. David is cute, clever, and your ticket to the proper way to come out: via snail mail. Like a wedding invitation.
