Damn! Athletic officials at the University of Nebraska sure take their gay scandals seriously!
First they booted Paul Donahoe and Kenny Jordan from the wrestling team after it was revealed the boys had posed for a gay porn website. Now a reader points out that higher up have edited out NCAA champ Donahoe’s entire existence!
Here’s the image collection for the 06-07 season, but fails to include pictures of Donahoe winning that year’s NCAA wrestling championship, evidence of which sort of exists in an archived version of the same collection.
Good thing we have the picture above, which we’ll cherish forever!
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

I know I am a poor ignorant Brit but can the Wrestling authorities do this without being prosecuted/sued? There would be a HUGE scandal over if the british wrestling body did the same to a gay member.
What are you guys doing to support these wrestlers???
brian
Nothing. They where idiots. They broke NCAA rules by taking money. They where getting a free education
John
These two wrestlers had the top statistics (win-loss, etd.) for their team last year. I think Paul Donahue had the best record for the last three years. That’s saying alot since Nebraska has been such a wrestling powerhouse.
I am tempted to respond to Brian’s dismissive condemnation of these two. As he says “They where idiots” lol, but I think this whole thing draws attention again to whether or not tnere are any victims in pornography. Personally, I think John Marsh, the owner of fratmen.com, was the villian in this story. He should have known that the anonymity of athletes of this caliber (even though its wrestling) couldn’t be preserved. That’s my opinion.
These young men are paying a huge price for their folly, but I speculate that they don’t identify as gay and wouldn’t really welcome a lot of support from the gay community, even if we “guys” could or would do anything.
I just think the demand for fratman-style j/o videos is so great that the monster has to be fed. A few ruined careers won’t affect demand.
Maybe they could wrestle in Britain.
Bob R
Didn’t Stalin and the Soviet’s do that sort of thing, remove faces from photographs and make people totally “disappear” from public records?
The boys made a mistake. A very serious mistake that in this day of eternal data storage and lookup will probably haunt them forever. What shame. They aren’t the first and doubtless will be the last. I wish them luck
Woof
Not sure if it happened in this case or not, but in Football this type of NCAA violation disqualifies all wins for the team, up to taking away bowl rights, scholarships and/or even championships.
LikaStarr
Sure these guys goofed, but that seems petty compared to the University of Nebraska deleting their entire existence.
I hope these guys find a way to fight back. What they did may have been against the rules. But taking money for posing nude takes just one day. Their athletic accomplishments take years to train and develop for. You can’t just flush it all down the drain like it never happened. What a bunch of morons. Let me at ’em!
Ted B. (Charging Rhino)
They weren’t ejected “just” for the porn-pics. They both apparently had disciplinary actions taken in the past for alcohol and other team-rules violations. If they had been exemplarly student-atheletes with clean-records they might have been able to skate-by, but the porn pics were just the final-straw.
Also, they took money for the pics. If they had posed-free or been self-posed they probably would have had a better defense. It wasn’t the nudity, it was the money they accepted for the pics that violated NCAA rules.
tallskin
Ok so they broke the rules by appearing in gay porn. But not sure I understand what on earth people do in their spare time is the business of the wrestling authorities!
Tom D Frog
Glad I sucked down the who website last week. I have all of Paul’s picts tucked away.
So, I guess they cannot work at all if they are on scholarship? They were not profiting on their wrestling. This was not an endorsement for Wheaties, Coke or any other commercial venture.
I think it is all stupid. They should be applauded for taking such a risk. 99% of the straight men out there are cowards with their bodies.
my 2 cents
CHURCHILL-Y
They got what they deserved!
I know personally of two people one of them being a sweet old ninety year old lady who died immediately after seeing the photos of their erect dicks!(sarcasm).
1600’s much?

Ted B –
You did the best of summarizing the schools stand. Yes, both had disciplinary actions in their pasts at the school, both had run-ins with the law and finally both were part of the NCAA Wrestling program.
Rules and regulations are very strict – it wasn’t that it was gay porn – it was that they were PAID for doing it. Straight or gay they still would have been let go. And yes, I agree with Brian (#2) – this guy Paul was the NAT’L CHAMPION – did he really think that NO ONE would see his picture? Total lapse of judgment that he deserves to have to pay for now. Both idiots – but damn that Paul’s pictures are to die for!!! He is just too damn hot!
truth
Tallskin – it is not the wrestling authorities. It is the NCAA – National College Athletic Association. The rules are set in place to keep athletes from receiving bribes, money, endorsements, etc. while playing for a college team. It is more or less to keep corruption out of college sports – although this is coming off looking like a lesson in morals…
JJ
I remember when The View removed all references to Star Jones from their website. Many people considered it the ultimate diss.
daniel k
living well is the best revenge. if these boys want to wrestle they need to find another school who’ll have them. if not they clearly have a (brief) future in porn where they can make lots of $$$.
GranDiva
Daniel K:
How exactly are they going to find another school to wrestle for? They were busted for violating NCAA rules, and the only way they’re going to get around to another school is to find a wrestling school that has absolutely no ties to the NCAA, and it hasn’t been my impression that there are non-NCAA schools with athletic programs where full-ride scholarships can be afforded. I could be wrong, but it just doesn’t seem likely. On top of that, they’ve already been cited through this process as problematic in terms of discipline, which isn’t really going to recommend them to any other schools…
jotod
This hysteria of Donohoe being removed from history stalinesque style is getting a bit out of hand.
I actually went to the U Nebraska wrestling website and Paul seems to be quite well represented (his beautiful mug is even on their wrestling camp homepage). Maybe the university removed him from their marquee pages, but I don’t think that’s so unreasonable, in view of the circumstances.
I don’t see any evidence of the university trying to remove all record of him or burying him in the obsurity of archives.
Do your own independent fact checking people. Don’t assume everything you read on this blog (or any other) is the unassailable truth.
Jack Scribe
The guys messed up because of NCAA rules and whatever they signed as “N” athletes. However, this is the same school that – on a couple of occasions – has swept under the carpet criminal behavior on the part of football players. I wish Paul and Kenny the best. Funny, after finding out that Paul/Nash weighs 125 lbs, it made sense why “everything” looked so large.
John
Maybe John Marsh over at fratmen tv is helping them through this. That would be an interesting interview for the blog.
Trenton
Maybe the law is on the side of the Association, and maybe the wrestler’s past infractions were part of the equation here…
BUT being erased from the archives? This sort of Damnatio Memoriae smacks of anti-gay moralizing within the school and the association. I guarantee that the gay stigma is the reason for the removal of those images. Sickening…
brian
It would be very interesting to find out how this whole thing got started. Did the wrestlers contact fratmen.com or the other way around. Also how did they think they where going to get away with it. What where the wrestlers where told before doing the porn.
But dam very hot
Kaden
Brian… I hate to be nit-picky…. but I believe the word you are attempting to use is “were,” not “where.” I could understand the mistake once, but twice. For you to use the term “idiots” …. What is that old saying? Those who live in glass houses.
M Shane
Everything as as it would be expected to be.
Except that I’m not wrestling with young Donahoe. God could you not have a hrd on. That would be hard if you didn’t wear a big ol chastety belt.
they should put on naked meets in a gay arena. 125 is pretty tiny but passable., like alittle doll.
Puddy Katz
There is no choice but to come all the way out and become poster boys for gay athletes everywhere. They could be really big in the Gay Games or something.
Wasn’t this done in Queer as Folk?
tom watson
idiot Nebraska… Paul gave HONOR to Nebraska by winning a national championship & they’re treating him like dirt for a MINOR prank that could best be described as youth’s folly. How many champions has Nebraska produced anyway that they seem to be overflowing with them?
brian
Ouch! Good point. Thanks Kaden.
thack
John Marsh, the owner of the Fratmen website, does not have a very good reputation in the porn community. Numerous former models have complained that he promises the world and never delivers. This is pure spectulation, of course, but I would bet he promised these two tons of money that they never received.
stevieb
I’m no expert on NCAA policy and maybe it doesn’t matter, but it seems that it should, and what everyone seems to be forgetting is that I believe these guys in no way identified themselves as Nebraska wrestlers. They did not ‘cash in’ on their status as Nebraska wrestlers, and in fact, were assigned fake names and fake stories. To me, that they got ‘discovered’ is incidental because there was no effort to use their NCAA status or ‘celebrity’ for financial gain and in fact, effort was made to conceal their identities. What, college jocks aren’t allowed to take jobs…? As has been pointed out elsewhere, it isn’t as though they robbed anyone, raped anyone, were caught carrying weapons (tho Donahoe surely packs quite a piece…), shot anyone or were caught dealing. Still, Donahoe was especially naive to assume a wrestler of his stature would not be noted, or who knows, maybe he wanted to be found out… I can’t imagine he did it exclusively for the bucks… Sadly, the response would probably be the same from most colleges in the pervasive, tight-assed mentality rampant here… where a brief boob shot during a football game can be fodder for discussion for years… I love my country, but it is time America grew up.
Carl
Ridiculous!
A. What is the big deal about posing nude for photos?
B. Since when does one nude photoshoot make you a pornstar?
C. How does Paul’s nude photoshoot have anything to do with wrestling?
justiceontherocks
@Carl – The NCAA, which governs college athletics like Hitler ran Germany, makes it a violation to market your image when you are a college athlete. Under the rule it wouldn’t matter if it was porn or a commercial for a grocery store.
Of course Nebraska freaked because their guy was naked on camera. Of course it’s dumb. But the NCAA rule gave them a reason to get rid of him. His behavior had been a problem for them before.
