One of life’s great pleasures is watching a person who so desperately wants to leave a great and lasting legacy leave one quite different from what she/he intended: millions of people who despise their very name. Adolf Hitler, Vlad “Dracula” Tepes and “Bloody” Mary were all quite successful at this. Bush is already well down that route, and it seems like Limbaugh is going the same way.
And, despite my loathing of his pompous, self-congratulatory pandering to the lowest common denominator, he is the highest earning radio ‘personality’ in the world, with the biggest audience.

Lex – I think windbag Limbaugh, as much as I can’t stand him either, has around 25 million listeners. It amazes me that a man supposedly so conservative can be busted on a drug charge (for which he should be in prison) and get divorced two or three times and still be called “conservative”.
And we won’t even touch his blatant manipulation of the most obscure soundbites and outright lies.
Al Franken wrote a book about his lies and to make a pun “Frankly” there weren’t that many listed. Although I know the reason. For a person of average intelligence who knows a little history and something about the world outside rightwing religious fanatic circles, Rush is just too hard to stomach for more than 10 minutes at a time! :)
