Morning Aural: Dusty Springfield

Lesbian singer Dusty Springfield may be gone, but she’s definitely not forgotten. At least not here in the Queerty office, where we’ve been gaily (gayly?) singing along to the British songstresses’ “All I See Is You”. Not the most uplifting song, no, but definitely a classic.

We’re feeling so nostalgic for Ms. Springfield, we’ve included the Pet Shop Boys produced “In Private” and a 1968 performance of Springfield’s most well-known song, “Son of A Preacher Man”

What a loss to music when she died, she had such a fabulous voice. Thanks for the memories.

Did anything ever come of that Dusty biopic they were planning with Kristin Chenoweth? I’m still shuddering at the thought.
