Not Every Go-Go Boy Is Just a Pretty Face. This One Cooks!
When you see a go-go boy across the bar, one of two things might enter your head: 1) Man, I want to get with that; or, I wonder what college courses is he taking. As explained by New York City’s Brandon Frost — who dances at Campus Thursdays at Splash Bar — one of those questions is reasonable.
And it’s the second one: He’s studying to be a chef, and he graduates in April. Lovely!
It’s the latest “boi” bio from Justin Buchbinder (or is that Justin Luke now?), who’s introduced us previously to some of the city’s poll dancing finest.

I agree that he should enjoy his youth and dance and fuck his ass off, but what always concerns me about this is the drug use. So many of these guys end up as addicts or worse due to hard drugs. It’s sad and it’s kind of hard to watch this, knowing what the future might hold for him if he isn’t careful.

My partner of 10 years is a former NYC gogo boy (danced at Splash), was never a drug addict, never did porn (not that anything’s wrong with doing porn!) and is now a successful writer. I can’t believe some of the prudery around here.

Good for your partner, but do you really think that drugs aren’t a major concern in this area? Again, I want to make clear, I find NOTHING wrong with the dancing or the sex (and like you, I don’t see anything wrong with porn), but I am concerned about lives being ruined by drugs. That’s not being a prude.

wow…u guys r harsh. thats my video. no i dont do drugs, no i dont do porn, i am not abused or taken advantage of…im just a college boy working through school. like most of my dancers. boiparty and alan picus are not evil, hes been there for me ever since i moved to the city and has always been a good influence on me to keep my nose clean. anyways, u people should try not to be so judgmental about the video…its just a promotional ad.
@brandon: Dude. Just ignore them. You must be new to Queerty. There are a bunch of judgmental people (among some non-judgmental peeps) here and thus you really just need to NOT pay them any mind.

and as another college student in nyc, i’d just like to say that drugs are a problem for many different communities. it doesn’t solve any problems to perpetuate stereotypes about cute gogo boys snorting coke. instead, it obfuscates the reality and makes everyone less safe by pretending there is only one group with a “problem.”

take it from a former coke addict, drugs are definitely a problem within the gay party scene. That being said, i’m not accusing anybody, i just think its a bit naieve to say that they aren’t.

This is very very funny! I know Brandon fairly well as he used to work for me in an environment were one actually wears clothing to work. Btw his last name is not “Frost” it’s Propst. And although he is probably one of the most passive aggressive people I have ever met (“oh poor poor me” but he gets what he wants) he is far to careful to ever get heavily into drugs. That said he once cooked bacon at my house upstate and I have never seen such straight rashers (no not rashes perverts) before. We’ll have to see if he has the committment to become a Mario Batalli or Emeril Lugasi or Jamie Oliver. My gut says he is too vain to expand his (gut) in order to sample and perfect his craft, but one never knows.
