Nyet, Y’all: Occupy Houston Targets Russian Consulate Over Anti-Gay Stance

Occupy Houston members were set to protest at the city’s Russian consulate this afternoon over that country’s recent efforts to ban “gay propaganda.”

According to a MyFox Houston report, local Occupyers were scheduled to start their pro-free speech demonstration today at the city’s Egyptian consulate at 4:15pm local time, then move on to the Russian consulate at 4:45. Both countries, say OH, are currently gross violators of free speech.

“In the Russian Federation, a third region prepares to outlaw ‘gay propaganda’ and thus further undermines the rights of LGBT persons & freedom of speech,” said an Occupy Houston release today. “We intend to inform Houstonians of these latest threats to free speech, threats backed by the 1% via their co-option of militaries and governments worldwide.”

“We urge the citizens of Houston to contact the Russian consulate and demand that Russia respect the free speech rights of its LGBT persons,”  continued the release.

The Russian Patriarchs have a lot in common with Iran’s Ayatollahs.

Oh, I hadn’t realized that the mythical 1% was to blame for the bad things – well, ALL THE BAD THINGS.

There’s no progress to be gained from a bunch of ineffectuals. *Hijacks their movement to reduce taxes.*
