Ted Kennedy's Senate Replacement: Ex-DNC Chairman Paul Kirk
 
 

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick announced Paul Kirk will begin serving immediately — and will not seek a full term during a special election held Jan. 19. The move assures Democrats will have 60 votes in the Senate as the president's healthcare reform bill hit. Kirk, reportedly, was the Kennedy family's favorite pick.
