The Homos Will Close Down the New York Stock Exchange This Afternoon

newkidsbell

Ring My Bell-el-el, Ring Me Bell, Ding Dong! If you’re in the New York City area today, you can hit up the New York Stock Exchange on Wall Street, where gays will be ringing the closing bell and having themselves a party in honor of gay pride and Stonewall’s 40th anniversary. From the release: “From Stonewall to Federal Hall” (get it?) welcomes you to “the ringing of the NYSE Closing Bell by the NGLCC, a symposium discussion on the LGBT movement in the 40 years since Stonewall followed by an exclusive cocktail reception on the NYSE Trading Floor.” All the A-gays will be there!

(And yes, we’re aware that’s New Kids on the Block in the photo, which seemed appropriate.)

When everything has gone to hell and the dow is down 50+% from a year ago, then let the gays have their fun. Lol.

Why on earth are we allowing ourselves to be embraced by a state which won’t allow gay marriage. Tell the stock exchange to fuck off.

I don’t rule out the possibility that it is me who doesn’t get it but I fail to connect the New Kids on the Block with the title of the article or the date (may 15th) that is displayed in the photo. How are New Kids on the Block appropriate considering the title of the article? I just don’t get it.

My friends and I here at work love this site but we have all notice the BIG CHANGE in tone in nearly every article printed within the last month as compared to 6 months ago. You guys are sounding more and more like frustrated, underpaid minions than people who want to inform based on feelings from the heart.

Or do these articles represent what is in your heart?
