Utah Governor Debate Briefly Turned Into Mostly Ignored Gay Protester Sideshow

Members of a gay rights group calling itself Justice Vanguard stole many of the headlines from last night’s Utah gubernatorial debate when they interrupted Republican incumbent Gov. Gary Herbert and Democratic challenger Peter Corroon, the Salt Lake County mayor. The eight demonstrators, who held up signs and screamed about the recent gay bullycides and demanded the governor to enact statewide anti-bullying legislation, were quickly escorted away, and neither candidate’s campaign had anything to say.
