Your Gender Reassignment Surgery Is Now a Tax Write-Off

But don’t think it came without a fight. Thanks to gender identity being treated as a “disease” under the tax code, it’s no longer considered cosmetic surgery, and can be deducted from your income. [Tax Prof]

Actually, it’s SEX reassignment. Gender is a social construct and therefore can’t be “reassigned”.

1. It didn’t say that “gender identity” is treated as a disease. It said that a gender identity that is dissonant with your sex is a disease, which is supported by every major medical organization.

2. You conveniently leave out that this result is entirely thanks to the work of Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders, part of “Gay, Inc.” You should recognize it, considering how harsh you are on them.
