“A prosecutor’s office says a second arrest has been made in the hate crime killing of an Ecuadorean immigrant in New York City. The arrest was made early Friday in Yonkers, just north of New York City. Police had released a video of 28-year-old Keith Phoenix and offered a $22,000 reward for information leading to his capture.” [AP] Sucuzhanay, a 31-year-old real estate agent and father of two, was walking arm-in-arm with his brother when their attackers kicked and beat them with a bat while screaming anti-Hispanic and anti-gay epithets. Sucuzhanay was taken off life support in December. His brother Diego survived.
