Locke and Key star Connor Jessup and 13 Reasons Why star Miles Heizer just made their relationship Instagram official in a belated Valentine’s Day post.
Over the weekend, 25-year-old Jassup shared a photo of himself and Heizar, along with the caption: “I’m late but I love you, you’re good, you make me better, happy v+1 day.”
So far, the post has received nearly 85K likes and over 2,600 comments, including one from 25-year-old Heizer, who replied with a green heart and crying emoji.
In addition to 13 Reasons Why, Heizer has had recurring roles on ER and Parenthood, and played Cal Price in Love, Simon. Jessup has also appeared on TNT’s Falling Skies and the ABC anthology series American Crime.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Last June, Jessup came out last in a moving Instagram post, telling his nearly 150K followers:
I’m grateful to be gay. Queerness is a solution. It’s a promise against cliche and solipsism and blandness; it’s a tilted head and an open window. I value more everyday the people, movies, books, and music that open me to it. If you’re gay, bi, trans, two-spirit or questioning, if you’re confused, if you’re in pain or you feel you’re alone, if you aren’t or you don’t: You make the world more surprising and bearable. To all the queers, deviants, misfits, and lovers in my life: I love you. I love you.

Congratulations to the happy, and visible couple!
Countdown to the troll accounts coming in here to try to deflect the topic or attack these two for some unrelated reason. Nothing bigots hate worse that LGBT people who are visible!

And the sporadic spam accounts asking “Looking for a sex partner tonight?”

Troll# 1 present and ready…..Why do these people continue to share their private lives on social media and then ask us for privacy when they break up and people want to know why? So stupid.
PLAYS WELL WITH OTHERS
Hows about being role models for young Gay kids knowing that they can come out and there is no shame nor anything to need to hide and are able to enjoy a loving relationship???
Was nice here before you pernocious trolls slithered onto this site….

Oh yes, because we NEVER hear about Straight celebrities relationships.
Translation: It’s only awful when LGBT people are visible.

Re: Troll #1: Easy enough to explain:
1) People want to share things when they’re happy. Some have other motives, but some just want to “shout it from the mountaintop.” Ever feel that way? If not, I pity you.
2) People don’t like sharing vulnerable moments. Vulnerable moments of rejection, abandonment, or loss make some people feel sad and weak. Some people don’t share because of this or because they want to present a facade of strength and invulnerability. But we all know what is going on underneath. If you’ve never felt vulnerable, I also pity you.
It’s hard to relate to a world without such an experiences.

I enjoyed his character in Falling Skies.
I am as happy for them as I am any couple, gay, straight, celebrity, or not. Visible or not. I was happy when he came to terms with his sexuality. It isn’t an easy ordeal and its easy for people to stay hidden out of the convenience of the familiar and expected. I support people sharing their newfound freedom and I hope it leads to a happier more fulfilling life.

A-ha! Knew little Miles was family.
Cutie pie squared making it ofitch! Couldn’t be happier for these cuties.

Young love. Sweet but, do you have to write your life story? I didn’t read it. Maybe you needed it for your justification. You got a cutie 4 a cutie. Enjoy.

It’s too bad you’re so superficial. I guess your only interest in this story are the photos. That post is one is the most eloquent descriptions of the closet, and argument for coming out, that I have ever read. What a shame you can’t share in the joy. But I guess your idea of being gay is just looking cute. Oh well, your loss.

How the hell would you know if it is only hot guys & how the hell would you know if they are near me?

I have no idea who either of these actors are but… WOW! That is is the most eloquent descriptions of being closeted — and cogent arguments for coming out — that I have ever read. It’s so personal, yet simultaneously universal. That kid has a brain, and for that, I have a man-crush on him. I will now go look for those gay roles he alluded to. If his acting is as intelligent as good as his writing, I’m in for a treat.
