For reasons we can’t begin to understand, Alec Baldwin is taking a step away from his acting career to focus on his other identity –“internationally recognized relationship expert.” In his new web series Alec Baldwin’s Love Ride, he doles out relationship advice. In a recent episode he tries his hand at a modern gay love story.
They cover the differences between Grindr, where the couple met, and Scruff. As Alec puts it, “Scruff is where you send pictures from the waist up, and Grindr from the waist down.” How little he knows…
He concludes that the couple is “awesome” as he is fed questions from his lesbian friend off camera. He even offers up her uterus at the end of the ride. How generous!
Alec has previously been fired by MSNBC for going on what was perceived as a homophobic rant, when he tweeted to a reporter, “I’d put my foot up your fucking ass, George Stark, but I’m sure you’d dig it too much. I’m gonna find you George Stark, you toxic little queen, and I’m gonna fuck you… up.”
Could this be a little calculated publicity to throw off the tireless forces at GLAAD?

I don’t care what anyone thinks of Alec Baldwin. The guy might not be the most PC at times but so what. He’s a friend and ally. Now the other Born Again Baldwin I can’t say the same thing.

In addition to insulting that Daily Mail gossip columnist, he asked an aide of Mitt Romney’s why he was on his knees in a particular photo and left a voicemail for his he daughter in which he called her: “a rude, thoughtless pig”.
I love Alec Baldwin.

“You didn’t answer. You bitch!”
lol love Alec.

Just how many times are we supposed to forgive Alec Baldwin for acting like a douche bag. This is just a pathetic publicity attempt to show Mr Baldwin isn’t a homophobe after his last un-PC gay slur. He is so irritating.
fredo777
@robho3: In all fairness, he was never really seen as a homophobe before those isolated incidents. Un-P.C., yes, but I never thought he was anti-gay.

In my next life I want to come back as Alec Baldwin’s right hand…
Palto
Arkansassy has won the internet with that post!
Saint Law
He’s my Dream Bear.

Oh please Queerty, have a little context. Alec Baldwin was pro-gay since before you were (probably, given your lazy article) even born.

@Palto: 😉

It’s definitely image control. Not that it will make any difference. He’s a rageaholic turd who will puke out more homophobic and/or sexist insults in future, while Hollywood keeps lavishing more roles on him.
Ridpathos
I hate him. Not because he’s a homophobic jerk. Just because he’s a jerk.
Desert Boy
I don’t understand the love gays have for this angry homophobe. But then, I don’t understand the love gays have for Bill “Defense of Marriage Act” & DOMA” Clinton, either.
fredo777
@Desert Boy: I’m still waiting to figure out how he’s a homophobe. I always thought the definition meant someone with an irrational fear or hatred of persons based solely on their homosexual orientation. Does a person who’s been an ally become a homophobe because of some isolated incidents where they used homophobic language? I’m not giving him a pass for those incidents, but I’m also not sure whether they mean he hates gays, in general, as the “angry homophobe” moniker implies.
As for Bill Clinton, I understood it to be that he ultimately publicly disavowed that legislation, regretting having signed it + DADT as a “compromise” with opponents (even including some Democrats). Apparently, he wanted to allow gays to serve openly, but it was met with backlash. As for DOMA, that seemed to be about political risk of vetoing it + not thinking it would have as much impact as it did (considering the lack of state-sanctioned gay marriages at the time). Clinton did make some moves that benefited our community, openly endorsing gay rights/hate crime legislation, taking executive action to protect against sexual orientation discrimination in some federal workplaces, + made more appointments of gays to his administration.
