Queers rallying to save Laguna Beach’s famed Boom Boom Room are attempting to sway billionaire developer Steven F. Udvar-Hazy from destroying the famed gay bar. The activists hope Udvar-Hazy can appreciate the Boom’s long gay history. Said one concerned citizen: “This really is a gay community going back to the 1930s and 1940s…That is what we’re fighting to preserve.” Do real estate developers even know what “history” means?
