“I’m pissed off, really kind of down… but we gotta give ourselves 24 hours then we gotta pick our asses up and continue to fight.”
That’s Empire star Jussie Smollett, discussing his profound disappointment that Donald Trump will be our next President.

Taking to Twitter, the out actor told his 1.3 million followers that now the real fight is beginning.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
“Leaving the country or disengaging is not the answer,” he emphasizes.
“I ain’t going nowhere – most of you all ain’t going nowhere. I’m not about to leave my house just because it still be dirty. It ain’t never been clean – ever.”
Every single person of color, every woman, every single member of the LGBTQ community, every single disable person or immigrant or senior citizen, If we were all to join together we would create a majority that would be unstoppable. So that’s what we’re gonna do.”
“Let’s join together, let’s step up, let’s protect each other and make sure that we clean up this filthy mess.”

Boo hoo. He’ll still take his Hollywood check.

This is so funny 🙂

This isn’t the Jim Crow era, and the way I hear some of us on the left (and those on the right) talking, we are definitely regressing back to the racial days of that time. I didn’t want Trump to be president either, but this is getting out of hand. The fear mongering is becoming vitriolic and is beyond toxic.
DDstar1me
@Xzamilloh…I agree. However, people have the right to voice their fears and concerns over an uncertain future. They are entitled to their emotions. What I will say is, it is best to come together and give Trump a chance to fulfill some of his promises. I did not vote for him, but he is our president now for better or worse. We have to respect the office he holds and trust in our democracy.

@Xzamilloh: Maybe you should hit “page back” and check out the stories of people being vilified as faggots and threatened in the street by Trump supporters who now feel entitled and energised because their bigoted hero has been elected. Fear mongering? Really?
joeyty
@OzJosh: LOL. You believe those fantasies ?
joeyty
@OzJosh: Yes, I was threatened in the streets all over Trump’s hometown NYC today.
Mack
@DDstar1me: Why? The right didn’t respect President Obama. They fought everything he wanted from before he took office until this date. Why should we respect a bigot and racist as our President?

Nobody’s going to join together and this fool is not some leader of LGBT people, people who aren’t white, senior citizens, etc.

I knew it. I knew it. Now it comes. Never mind white males who didn’t support him either lets give the spotlight to minorities and drive the wedge even deeper than it already is. I couldn’t care less about the views of a man who is in the very pay scale that Trump says pays too much in taxes and can afford his health plan premiums and prescription drugs. Lets hear from the working guy who works three jobs and still has no savings due to the cost of basic staples.
James Hart
I’m gay and I proudly voted for Donald Trump. I can’t stand “Empire,” and this Jussie Smollet sounds like a complete idiot.
Invert
@Bob LaBlah: minorities didn’t create the wedge, Bob, face it. And you’re in one of the categories he mentioned.
osman
@Invert: Invert I agree with you !

Today, we mourn.
Tomorrow, we organize.

@Bob LaBlah: Thanks for proving what I always suspected about you! I knew you were that type by your unhealthy obsession with Blacks…

@Tackle: To respond to your comment any further would be child abuse. And by the way, do you still have those beige pants? And hows your friend? The one who lost her skirt during that subway fight? You seem to know so much about me I thought I may as well get to know you a little better.
