Thursday found Donald Trump once again going ballistic on Twitter, writing a prolific series of bizarre Tweets including one that insisted that America bolster its nuclear weapons arsenal until “the world comes to its senses regarding nukes.”

This didn’t sit at all well with Japanese-American actor George Takei, who wrote a personal and powerful note to the president-elect that asked him to reflect on the horror that nuclear weapons has inflicted on people throughout history.
Trump wants to expand our nuclear arsenal. I think of my aunt and baby cousin, found burnt in a ditch in Hiroshima. These weapons must go.

As The Huffington Post reports, Takei had family members who were murdered in Hiroshima during World War II, when the United States dropped a nuclear bomb on the city on August 6, 1945, killing thousands instantly upon impact and some 140,000 by year’s end.

It’s not the first time he’s written about Hiroshima, either. Back in May, Takei penned an opinion piece for The Guardian, praising Obama’s visit to Hiroshima.
“I share Obama’s call for a nuclear-free world,” he wrote. “We must pledge to work closely with other powers, to reduce not only the number of weapons in our arsenals, but also the numbers of states bearing or seeking to bear them.”

George is such a drama queen. Hillary was more apt to use nuclear weapons and start a nuclear war with Russia. We were at a higher defcom level when she was running for President, and it went back down.

George always avoids the fact that it was one of history’s most liberal presidents FDR who interned Japanese, German, and Italian families during WW II. Of course he makes it ALL about himself and people who are Japanese though.

It’s not like his twitter account literally has a tweet where he says “The United States must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability until such time as the world comes to its senses regarding nukes”… Oh wait, all those things happened.
Also maybe stop the “But Hillary” response. She lost, he’s president. He doesn’t get a free pass now because she might have theoretically been worse. Trump is the one with his tiny fingers on the button, the things he says should be taken seriously and considering that his desire to drop nukes is well known, maybe we should be a little dramatic about it because it could kill us all

The evangelicals already think the end times are here and expect the world to be bathed “in lakes of fire” as per the Book of Revelations, which is actually the Book of the “Apocalypse” in the bible. Trump isn’t running his own government. It is his team, which is made up of the cray-crays.
And if you look at international news, Putin is praising up the Russian federation military at the moment because Putin’s fearful his own military is going to take him out to save themselves from his murderous rule since it’s always easier for them to remove a civilian government than to put up with being killed in some war that only serves the dictator or his billionaire cronies (the twelve Russian ones who brought him to power in the federation or the ones such as Assad of Syria, who is a corrupt billionaire serving Putin abroad).

Sulu, stick to acting. You condemn the actions taken against Japan during WWII, specifically the dropping of the 2 atomic bombs. But you fail to blame the correct country for that. Why don’t you start with blaming JAPAN for dragging us into WWII? We had little intention of joining the war, and were meeting with Japanese representatives about a peaceful US and Japan. All while your family’s country prepared the most devastating attack on American soil at Pearl Harbor killing thousands. THAT action forced us into WWII . And you know what the dropping of the atomic bombs did? Ended the war and saved hundreds of thousands of AMERICAN lives. Think about that while you claim to be an American, maybe start acting like one and get over it, place the blame where it belongs.
Today’s world is far more complicated with nuclear weapons owned by countless more countries, not to mention the ability to launch them from submarines, and scariest the ones that can be transported in something as simple as a backpack. We will not see the end of nuclear weapons in our lifetimes,
