I’m excited about Jon Stewart’s “Rally To Restore Sanity” not because it is the thinking man’s response — or, as he says, the Million Moderate March — to Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor,” but because Oct. 30 is the day before Halloween, and I can totally wear my Glenn Beck costume. Even though he doesn’t want me to.

I really, really, really hope that his and Colberts’ get more people than the Tea Party’s.

@Diz: It’s doubtful. They’ve got less than a month, and Glenn had several. Glenn’s audience are middle-aged and old, and have no lives. Jon Stewart’s audience are all in college, young and struggling with unemployment and most are under the age of 30 and have ‘shit to do’.
I and many others at my college would love to go, but it’d be difficult and too expensive for us. Had they waited until next spring (breaks) it might give their potential attendees time to save money and ask for time off…
Oh well.

This is a rally for real Americans!!!

Just drawing from DC and NYC we will probably be able to draw a much larger crowd than Glenn Beck (who drew VERY VERY few people from DC or NYC). So a lot of lead time probably isn’t necessary. I plan to go!

I already have my outfit picked out! A long-sleeved t-shirt with buckles and straps and the slogan, “I went to Glenn Beck’s rally and all I got was this lousy straitjacket!”

jon stewart and that other idiot are cynical assholes. They ae only capable of reciting slogans not holding rallies. This is gonna backfire right in their faces where it should. Thanks alot for nothing again “straight white boys”.
