Madonna doesn’t seem remotely pleased about the upcoming Blond Ambition film, a biopic that will delve into the pop icon’s formative years after moving to New York in 1978.
In fact, she thinks the project is a symptom of a more severe societal ill.
The script by Elyse Hollander topped 2016’s “Black List,” a roundup of the best as-yet-unproduced Hollywood screenplays.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Universal film will be set in the early ’80s, charting Madonna Louise Ciccone’s struggle to find success in New York’s dizzying club scene.
“Nobody knows what I have seen,” Madonna grandly laments on Instagram.
“Only I can tell my story. Anyone else who tries is a charlatan and a fool. Looking for instant gratification without doing the work. This is a disease in our society.”

This has not surprisingly resulted in an avalanche of middle-of-the-road commentary, everything from “Slay!” to “Haters gonna hate.”

I get the point Madonna is trying to make. However, she is such a control freak that I seriously doubt she would ever be honest or real enough to allow an actual biography to go forward. Maybe what bothers her is that a lot of this is true. Because if it wasn’t, she could have sued to prevent it’s release, or at least forced them to label it as a fictional account, she certainly has the money to hire good lawyers. Sounds like the researcher did too good a jo in Madonna’s opinion.

She should be glad that people even want to make a movie about her. Her career has tanked and she’s struggling day-by-day to look “cool” and relevant but it just comes across as sad at this point, not cutting-edge like she did decades ago.

I always liked Madonna, her music is fun, but girl…she can’t keep trying to pull the same tricks she did in her 20s and 30s while she’s in her 50s. She just looks desperate now. Class it up. You’re a legend, act like one.
