Melania Trump’s official White House glamour shot, er, portrait gets memed, hard

The White House unveiled Melania Trump‘s official portrait this week.

The photograph was taken by Regine Mahaux in the West Sitting Hall of the White House private residence, which some people have criticized because, well, Melania doesn’t actually live in the White House. Others have questioned if she really needed to flash her 25-caret, diamond-incrusted engagement ring in the picture, which pretty much dominates the entire bottom left corner of the frame.

Upon the photo’s release, Melania issued a statement saying, “I am honored to serve in the role of First Lady, and look forward to working on behalf of the American people over the coming years.” We’re not sure the American people feel the same way, but whatever.

Memers have been having fun with the portrait, which, in all honestly, isn’t that bad… for a Glamour Shot®.
