Michael Douglas Says He Draws The Decency Line At Male Genitalia

There’s life in the old dog yet! (Just not when it comes to hardcore gay porn scenes.)

In the weeks before the premiere of HBO’s Behind the Candelabra—easily the gayest major film of 2013—Michael Douglas and Matt Damon have left nothing to the imagination when it comes to chatting about their gay love scenes.

Earlier this week, Douglas told USA Today about the film’s steamy love sessions between Liberace and Scott Thorson, admitting a close shave was all the preparation he needed. “I didn’t want any whisker burns on the poor guy,” he said.

Though Douglas and Damon were both down with the R-rated lovemaking, Douglas tells New York Magazine that he drew the decency line at penises.

He continued:

“Liberace loved sex, and I didn’t have a problem with that. But, at one point, Steven Soderbergh wanted to show Lee watching a gay porno. I said ‘I’d like my kids to see this R-rated movie, but I don’t want to show them a 14-inch dick!’ It was the only thing I objected to, so we cut to different parts of the apartment during the porno.”

We understand the importance of shielding the children’s eyes, but come on, Michael. Everyone else watching the film is definitely going to want to see that 14-incher!

And because there’s no such thing as seeing this trailer too many times…..
