More Naked Porn Stars Prowl The Streets of San Francisco

Queerty reported on Jessy Ares, the porn actor/musician who stripped down in the Castro for his music video. Now, as Fleshbot clued us in (link NSFW), Marc Dylan was seen walking around the neighborhood in his birthday suit. (For the uninformed, Dylan is the star of flicks for Colt and CockSureMen.com, and, of course, Jet Set Men’s Anthony’s Weener.)

We know public nudity is legal in SF but, Castro boys please tell us, is this a thing? And if it is, we demand photographic evidence!

@christopher di spirito: I dunno, clothes are appropriate for many occasions. For instance if Marc is on the other side of that counter I would demand that he be wearing clothes.

There are way too many guys walking around naked in the Castro these days. Most of them do **not** look like this guy, and our sidewalks are crowded. There are kids around, and their poor little faces are right at 65-year-old-droopy-nutsack level. Whatever point these nudies are trying to make is . I’m afraid to leave my house when the weather gets above 70 degrees.

unfortunately, most of the naked guys are NOT porn stars…far from it

@Joe B.: Can’t private businesses there enforce a dress code for their customers (i.e. no shoes, no shirt, no service)?

  • Biff

Yep. I live in SF and I am often in the Castro. Nudity is most definitely a thing there. But it never seems to be hot porn stars. Usually it is the same two or three saggy titted, ratty haired burn-outs who really should be old enough to know better. They can usually be spotted on Sunday afternoons when the crush of brunch eaters and tourists assures they will get maximum attention. You will see them walking down the sidewalk surrounded by a gaggle of camera toting German tourists. Followed by Frank Chu and his 12 Galaxies sign.

I had no idea public nudity was legal there. I’ll have to make a visit.

Trust, most of the people who insist on going naked are the ones you would never want to see.

This type of nudity is neither sexual nor natural . . . it’s strictly exhibitionistic. And pretty gross.

    San Francisco is a cesspool.

i don’t even know how that nudity law even came into place. I’m just embarrased. Yeah sure the guy is good looking, but why in public?

  • fanboi

Public nudity here is legal as long as behavior is not sexual or erotic. And Larry is right – the regular crowd of naked guys that haunt the Castro are not hardbodied porn stars (though you can spot THEM go go dancing in very little or clothed and just out for a night out.

A few nude guys on the street / a few porn stars in the gyms… What San Francisco has “most” is a wonderful, accepting community. There is a character around every corner, particularly in the Castro … As the City becomes more and more costly to live in we risk losing that diversity.

Whether they should know better or not, I’ve seen them out, including at night, in weather conditions where everyone else was wearing multiple layers in an attempt to stay warm.

@JayKay: Bitter, party of one? San Francisco is an amazing, wonderful, unique, welcoming city. I lived there for 11 years (only having left for a job promotion), and I *never* heard anybody even once say “Oh I can’t wait to move.” It is perennially rated as the #1 travel destination city in the United States, and has too many attributes to mention here. “Cesspool” is hardly an accurate description, unless you have been inhabiting some crack house or trash dumpster on your in-person visits. Give it a rest.

AND THEY WONDER WHY SOCIETY SEES US A CESSPOOL OF GROSSNESS!!! HAVE SOME SELF RESPECT GAY MEN…REALLY!! THIS IS WHY PEOPLE HATE US….

I live on Castro Street. I can assure you, the folks who take off their cloths, are NEVER the one you wish would take it all off.

  • Scott

While there are a few people who may wander naked, it’s really not that common. And yes — they’re almost always completely old and ugly.

I did see one exception to that once – a couple of religious nuts, megaphone in hand, started to “preach” at Castro and 18th to the whole neighborhood, and a fairly young guy walked out of his apartment completely naked and started to hold a theological discussion with them. He then followed them around trying to shoo them out of the neighborhood. Finally the police arrived and had a talk with the religious nuts about (I guess) noise ordinances. The police ignored the naked guy as the neighbors had complained about the noise, not him. Only in San Francisco!

Of course, Nick is right about nearly everyone you’ll see – the guy I described was a one-time exception, and that was a couple of years ago.
