The critically-acclaimed indie thriller Jesús just became available on Google Play and Amazon Video. It tells the gritty coming-of-age tale of a bisexual teenager from Santiago who joins a street gang. But it’s the graphic sex scenes that have everyone talking.

At the very beginning of the movie, Jesús (played by Nicolás Durán) receives an unsimulated blowie from a woman. Later in the film, he gets all kinds of down and dirty with a fellow gang member, played by Sebastián Ayala.
The two actors bare every inch of themselves while engaging in some very unsimulated, insanely passionate on-screen lovemaking that blurs the lines between indie film and gay porn.

Sex scenes in modern movies are a sign of desperation by a director. In an age of ubiquitous and unlimited porn, they’re not titillating, they’re BORING.

Not to argue with you but I find, to my constant amazement, that all the free porn on line hasn’t affected what turns me on one bit. I find almost all the professional sites boring because it’s all by the numbers: 3 minutes of perfect bodies teasing; 4 minutes of obligatory kissing, no matter how unlikely that would be in the scenario being portrayed; 6 minutes of sucking, than 7 minutes of f*cking. Occasionally some of the Broke Straight Boys are raunchy enough or the old German and Russian porn videos. But I love videos of straight guys doing gay stuff for girls, not knowing they’re being firmed, or the glimpse of accidental dick in a video of trampoline flipping or — my current favorite — a very hot, young bodybuilder in his bedroom, posing in loose-fitting, soft-cotton underwear with his barely-visible, not-very-big dick bounces around in it. I know I can find someone just as hot, jerking off for a girl on Skype or having sex with an equally hot guy for money on cam, but that doesn’t make a bulge seen in a subway car any less exciting.

I reviewed this film for an International Gay film festival and found it brutally realistic. Maybe South American filmmaking is just “not to your taste.” I highly recommend this film for it’s depiction of how gays are treated by their families in Latin America.
