You know you’re a classy gay when…
…you have separate tuxes for your wedding ceremony and your wedding reception.
…guests at your wedding have to hit a number above 50 on the elevator to get to their seats.
…the name of your venue is literally the Rainbow Room.
And you know you’re Jim Parsons and longtime partner/current husband Todd Spiewak when you nail all three, and then some.

The two tied the knot in utterly dashing form over the weekend at the aforementioned Rainbow Room, the iconic NYC venue that sits on the 65th floor of the Comcast Building at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
Parsons came out in 2012 after the New York Times referred to him in a profile as “gay and in a 10-year relationship.”
On Monday, Parsons posted two shots of the milestone:
In November, Parsons marked the couple’s 14th anniversary in another Instagram share:
Congrats to the happy couple!

Going to put my cynical hat on. He’s in for one hell of a divorce settlement if that ever happens…..
MacAdvisor
The divorce settlement greatly depends on the state they live on, but the marriage isn’t very old. Most states require something on the order of a ten-year marriage to get long-term spousal support. The vast majority of Parson’s wealth has been earned outside the marriage and is separate property, not subject to community division. Moreover, the money that wealth generates would also be separate property.
Given they’ve been together for 14 years and would need another 10 years for any substantial support, I don’t think the marriage was entered into by Todd Spiewak with any thought of some large divorce settlement.

140 years…He’s in it for love. He was there when Parsons was a broke boy.

lol 14 not 140! That would be something!!!

They’ve been together for a very long time, way before money and fame. But money and marriage does change thing. But let’s just give best wishes.
DCguy
Also, in many many areas, the length of time they’ve been together already qualifies them as a “Common Law Marriage”.

To those closet supporting trolls who attacked anybody suggesting Parson’s come out who were screaming “What difference will it make?!?”
This, Right here. This is the difference it makes. The star of the most popular comedy show on TV just got married and it’s reported on by the mainstream press. If he was still closeted no doubt they would still just be “roomates”.
Donston
For some reason I thought he had been married.

Best wishes to the happy couple. As for charlie_jackpot, dump the haberdashery. Life is much happier when you don’t attribute bad intentions to everyone.
Kangol
Best wishes to this couple. BTW, does *Big Bang Theory,* which is somehow still on, have any openly gay characters?

I was always expecting Raj to come out but then they gave him a lame girlfriend. Maybe he should date a guy next and come out as bisexual.
Sluggo2007
I got over that show about 5 years ago. I don’t understand all the hoopla over it.
DCguy
NOT TO BE CYNICAL……..BUT……
The second Parsons came out it seemed like they got Sheldon a girlfriend.
