‘Sherlock’ Star Says He’s Never Been In The Closet

unnamed-1No. I never really have. I never didn’t speak about it. It’s really important to find out who you are before you have success, because there’s really a rush now for actors to get as famous as possible as quickly as possible and so it was really important for me, in the first ten years of my career just to get to know myself and work hard. I’m glad in a sense that I wasn’t a commodity, because when people start to look at you and scrutinise you in a way that they didn’t before – it’s important you know who they are looking at it. You need to know and accept who you are.”

I don’t know who he is but he could give Sarah Palin a run for her money in a word salad competition.

Very happy he’s back for another season, now if only we could figure out how he (Moriarty) managed it.

Oh! He’s back on the show? Awesome! His portrayal of Moriarty is fascinatingly quirky. He’s a fantastic actor.

Why is it the villains are usually the hottest people on the show?

He’s right. I read he was gay a long time ago. Also, he’s so very cute and I’ve always been attracted to him.

I can’t be the only one who wanted to see Sherlock and Moriarty fuck. But then again, I also wanted to see Sherlock and Watson fuck, so maybe I just want Sherlock to be gay.

He’s a great actor, I think, but I loathe this version of Sherlock.
Jeremy Brett was by far the best Holmes and he was also bisexual in real life, so it’s a win-win.

If you want a gay Sherlock, one of my fave films ever is Billy Wilder’s ‘The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes’.
Almost everyone I know hates it, but I think it’s a beautiful film.

Love this new version of Sherlock but think Andrew Scott’s Moriarty is horrible. Not sure if he was directed badly or if he just had an interpretation of the character that was out of left field but found his portrayal the absolute worst part of the new series and was glad when they killed him off. Based on his role in Sherlock I would call him amateurish at best. Would need to see him in something else to see if he can actually act.

I just hope he’s single :) he’s a great actor and I’ve loved his rendition of Moriarty.

@Zekester: “I don’t know who he is but he could give Sarah Palin a run for her money in a word salad competition.” WORTH REPEATING since it’s the only comment that relates to the article! The rest is is adolescent “word salad!”
