WATCH: Ada Vox SLAYS “Defying Gravity” with Lea Michele on American Idol

Ada Vox continued her primetime slayage tour on American Idol this week as the remaining contestants performed duets with the pros, and true to form, she brought the house down.

The drag diva has been venturing into well-known cover territory, previously belting out Radiohead’s “Creep” and now conjuring up the harmonic serotonin of Wicked’s “Defying Gravity” with help from Lea Michele.

But while both songs have been done countless times (a quick YouTube search yields hundreds of thousands), Vox manages to stamp originality into every performance, and that is the making of a real powerhouse performer.

Needless to say, Vox made it through to the next round and is absolutely one to watch for the other Idol hopefuls.
