[Jerusalem’s gay pride seeks to] defy family and marriage … [and] its organizers and the authorities who allow it, care neither for the feelings of families nor the holiness of this city. [… Gays can] have their parade wherever they want [except the Holy City. …] Leave Jerusalem to her pilgrims and faithful This city has suffered enough wounds and humiliation.
—Latin Patriarch Fouad Twal, the Catholic Church’s highest official in Jerusalem, saying predictable things about the city’s gay pride festivities [via]

The church that burned people alive to keep its stranglehold on Europe dares to call a parade an affront to Jesus?

He can kiss my ass! Oh wait, he did…….

“This city has suffered enough wounds and humiliation.”
“Expressing our profound respect for each human being … ”
Well fuck you as well then, since my presence would harm and cause embarrassment and you consider me too dumb to spot inconsistency and insincerity.

@rudy: Not to mention that the Romanist pig fucking cult helped Hitler with the Holocaust. They have no right to be commenting on anything anyone in Israel says or does.
How many altar boys has this Fouad Twat raped today?

guess zero if he is like most guys that old: he’d have to catch them first and then there is the problem of getting it up.

This is soooo not right. After all the deaths and slaughterings that the leaders of Christianity have done for Gods’ “glory”, they have the audacity to say that a gay parade will bring shame to the city. Shame has struck, and its the fact that you deny a simple parade.

“Jerusalem…has suffered enough wounds and humiliation,” said the priest, clearly indifferent to the fact that religion — not gay pride — was entirely responsible for Jerusalem’s the centuries of outrages.

Yawn, oh sorry did Rotternburger say something vaguely controversial?
You do realise that this is just an attempt to make us stop thinking about the large number of paedophile priests they’ve been concealing within their ranks for knows how long?
Its PR people .. and not very effective PR at that.
PLAYS WELL WITH OTHERS
The heirarchy of the catholic church all need to run down to the clue store and buy a bunch of ’em……..Because they haven’t a clue that every single time they toss some of their own special brand of hate upon the Gays, it reminds folks of the thousands of kiddie diddling priests…….They seem to forget that sometimes its best to let sleeping dogs (or in this case child molesting priests) lie silent……….

Gays can have a parade whereever they want? That’s a laugh. The Vatican tried to stop a gay pride parade in Rome several years ago.

Most of the wounds that they are referring to were given to Jerusalem by the Roman Empire, which later became the Holy Roman Empire, which later became the Catholic Church. We already knew they were hypocrites, but this goes a little to far. Their ancestors were the very ones that supposedly put Jesus to death on a stake.

… a bit garbled historically – the short (and purposely outrageous) version is that when the Roman Empire ended, the barbarians took everything of any value. What we were left with is the Catholic Church.

@B: And why did the Roman Empire end?
A lot of reasons, but Christianity was one of them.
