Actress Amanda Heard: Yep, I’m A Lesbian

Actress Amber Heard (on left), who you might know from Pineapple Express, Zombieland, and the upcoming Johnny Depp flick The Rum Diary, made her official coming out as a lesbian at GLAAD’s 25th anniversary party. Walking the red carpet with partner Tasya van Ree, the actress said she wondered if staying in the closet meant she was contributing to “millions of hard-working, tax paying Americans” being denied their rights. “I think GLAAD is one of the many reasons that I, as a 24-year-old, can come out.” Welcome home, lady!

Which one is she in this picture? That would help me figure out whether I “recognize” her

She’s also starring in John Carpenter’s forthcoming The Ward, which I’m really excited about (really excited about Rum Diary too)!
AFAIK, her star’s on the rise and definitely not in the place – career-wise – that you would unfortunately expect most stars who come out to be. ie. she doesn’t need the extra press and she undoubtedly had a lot of interested parties counselling her against coming out.
So this is a very brave thing to do. Good for her x

@Brian: You do know worldwide homosexual sex is only attributed to 5-10% of total HIV?

Yeah, why am I even trying to talk to you reasonably. Too bad you’re filled with so much irrational hate. You should look into where that comes from. It’s not healthy.

Horrible career move. Guys like the idea of lipstick pretty girls to fool around with other girls. But a relationship with another one is someone just running away from emotional trauma related to men. The funny part is they run from “the controller” type that they think is just a male thing?..But itends up far worse with the female version of this. She is not free….she is still “kept”.
She would have been better off with therapy.

Look at the way her partner Sasha Van Wierdo is holding her….And to the world “my pretty pet…..Hahahhahahha! The world will be mine!!! Hahahaha!”
Thats not someone who can offer a loving stable relationship.
Thats a bad my possesion type of energy. (Like I said….worse then men!)
