I have worked in the Rowan County Clerk’s office for 27 years as a Deputy Clerk and was honored to be elected as the Clerk in November 2014, and took office in January 2015. I love my job and the people of Rowan County. I have never lived any place other than Rowan County. Some people have said I should resign, but I have done my job well. This year we are on track to generate a surplus for the county of $1.5 million.
In addition to my desire to serve the people of Rowan County, I owe my life to Jesus Christ who loves me and gave His life for me. Following the death of my godly mother-in-law over four years ago, I went to church to fulfill her dying wish. There I heard a message of grace and forgiveness and surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. I am not perfect. No one is. But I am forgiven and I love my Lord and must be obedient to Him and to the Word of God.
I never imagined a day like this would come, where I would be asked to violate a central teaching of Scripture and of Jesus Himself regarding marriage. To issue a marriage license which conflicts with God’s definition of marriage, with my name affixed to the certificate, would violate my conscience. It is not a light issue for me. It is a Heaven or Hell decision. For me it is a decision of obedience. I have no animosity toward anyone and harbor no ill will. To me this has never been a gay or lesbian issue. It is about marriage and God’s Word. It is a matter of religious liberty, which is protected under the First Amendment, the Kentucky Constitution, and in the Kentucky Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Our history is filled with accommodations for people’s religious freedom and conscience. I want to continue to perform my duties, but I also am requesting what our Founders envisioned – that conscience and religious freedom would be protected. That is all I am asking. I never sought to be in this position, and I would much rather not have been placed in this position. I have received death threats from people who do not know me. I harbor nothing against them. I was elected by the people to serve as the County Clerk. I intend to continue to serve the people of Rowan County, but I cannot violate my conscience.”
— Kim Davis, the notorious Kentucky county clerk who has steadfastly fought against the Supreme Court’s ruling and refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, in a statement released to the public today

Book of Mark ” And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.” – Jesus
And you’ve denied licenses to ALL previously divorced citizens…..?????
Thought so. So it IS a gay issue. Lying is a sin, too.
Mitch Mathias
Hmmm I don’t remember christ saying anything about only straight marriage.
Cam
IF she loves Jesus so much, then why has she violated Jesus’s own words and the 10 commandments. Jesus said that divorcing a spouse and marrying another is committing adultery, which means every day of her life Kim Davis is in violation of the 10 commandments and Christ’s words.
Christ said nothing about Homosexuality. So she is a liar, and a bigot, who is just using religion as an excuse to attack a minority group.
Charles Martens
One easy question should answer this problem: who signs your f*cking paycheck?
Ra Hill
Beth McAllister
Doesn’t you’re religion believe that God loves everyone….. and sends sinners to hell…. well maybe he should send you there…. and your sin…. not allowing other people to love one another

A position in a secular role should never be impeded by a religious belief, your role is to provide a service to the people to tell them to go elsewhere is a flashback to segregation. She is an elected official so therefore cannot be fired however she can be impeached and fined however the costs of this to the tax payer should be recouped from her. We all know if she ever did the bible belt would raise the cash via a kickstarter.

I’m sure she’s just a homophobic hating trash bag.. Fire her and stop giving this thing attention. Most right wings are already calling her a hero *puke*
Steve Nipe
No one is asking her to religiously marry them. She is being asked to sign legal documents, and her job. If she wishes to make religious decisions she should go work for a church, then it would be her right to say no. The fact is she works for the government and HAS to follow the law not pass judgment!

1.5 million surplus minus 2.5 million legal fees…… Kim, you owe a million. If another person of another religion found it was against their beliefs to do the paper work for divorced people, would they get away with what you are doing? You may have sat down on a pew, but it doesn’t mean that you are Biblically literate. Your “go-fund-me” account is waiting for you. All the other Illiterate Bible thumpers can donate wads of cash to you and you can all celebrate hate together.
LaVero Gutierrez
Ummm is she conducting the ceremony? Otherwise, its simple paperwork being issued. No comprendo….? Im also Christian. I dont agree with many things in this world. But I love err body! Well fat ass there are bartenders & cocktail servers that are Christian, but they do their job you piece oh human garbage…
Harold Phelps
Skip the biography lady, no one cares. It IS absolutely a gay and lesbian issue. Your idea of heaven and hell is optional, being gay is not. Even in Kentucky not every one is of the same religion as you. Heaven and hell mean nothing to many people. Just get over your pathetic, bigoted self.

God’s definition of marriage? Will someone show me where God wrote what marriage is? He didn’t write the Bible so it’s not in there. I didn’t see it on the Ten Commandments. So please-WHERE THE “F” IS IT?

These are anti gay bigots and criminals who have broken state and federal laws cut off her salary for not doing her job and call police to remove them ! Cut off federal funds to the state for violation of the Supreme Court !

So is that mixed fabric clothing about heaven or hell as well according to Leviticus 19:19?

@1EqualityUSA: She CANNOT accept money from “go fund me” account. If she does so then she can be arrested as a government employee accepting a bribe. Then she’ll do big time in jail.
1EqualityUSA
For instance, strip-searching jail-bait when they come through processing. If a person religiously objects to having to insert their quadruple-gloved fingers into your bodily cavities, prior to your going to jail, should you go unchecked? No, they would draw straws and find some poor sap, likely with the lowest seniority, to fulfill this function, offering psych services to the poor dear for years afterwards. The other strip searcher would have to find a job selling chicken-kickers ‘n’ Cinna-stix.

In other words, she is saying “gay people are going to hell.”

Grey Cris
Really now? Aren’t you going to hell for your divorces?
Hector Pagan

Kim Davis is an ignorant fool.

Bitch you are free to quit and go march on Washington or start a facebook group! Standing in the way of other peoples rights is not you exercising freedom of religion. Fire her and be done with her. If she wants to go pick up a “EVIL SINNERS!” sign and sit in the parking lot, fine. But she’s an idiot if she thinks she can wield her power as a public official against us.

Mario Francisco Garcia
I’m confused– does she work for the church or the government ?
Giancarlo85
Yes, she can’t accept money. It just seems to me she doesn’t get it. This is government. Not the church. Your religious views are immaterial to what happens in government.
Al Escoto
Leave your bigot belief at home and your church, not at your work. JUST DO YOUR JOB!!
B.J. DeLorenzo
Its very simple. You took an oath to serve all the people. It is not either or, its all or none. Resign and keep your religious convictions. Don’t expect to become the law unto yourself as you see fit. If you cannot perform your duties under the oath you swore to uphold than do the right thing for everyone involved and resign your post.
Kellie Allyn
Well isn’t she going to “Hell” for signing the marriage certificate of the trans couple…..she didn’t even check what the birth certificate said…..just signed off because she thought they were each by birth the gender they represented themselves as…..
Alford S. Sean
Isn’t it amazing that Big Kim Davis can get married four times, via her chosen man-made religious cult! She disgusts me on every level. Long grey hair, no makeup, & in a plus sized skirt tells me her chosen cult….yup snakes and chickens. Holiness??? NOT- Is this who southern Pentecostals want as their PR mascot???
Great News:
Government Employees Have No â??Religious Freedomâ?? Right To Refuse Service To Same-Sex Couples, Says Americans United
Jul 8, 2015 â?? Clerks Must Issue Marriage Licenses To All Qualified Couples, Church-State Watchdog Says
Government employees who oppose marriage equality because of their religious beliefs are not entitled to refuse service to same-sex couples, Americans United for Separation of Church and State has informed officials in all 50 states today.
In a letter released today, which will be sent to all state attorneys general as well as county clerks in Texas and South Dakota, Americans United explains that with marriage equality now the law of the land, government employees do not have the right to opt out of serving gay couples, because doing so would harm those couples and violate their constitutional rights.
â??As Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote in the U.S. Supreme Courtâ??s decision in Obergefell v. Hodges, there is dignity in marriage for all couples,â? said the Rev. Barry W. Lynn, executive director of Americans United. â??But government officials who refuse to serve same-sex couples are taking away that dignity.â?
The letter was prompted by a recent memo from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and a statement by South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley, who suggested that government employees may be allowed a religious exemption from serving same-sex couples.
In its memo, Americans United says the Constitution makes no such allowance.
â??As with an interracial couple, imposing such burdens on a same-sex couple would burden, demean, and stigmatize the couple in a manner that violates the Constitution and other laws. Thus, allowing accommodations in these circumstances would subject government entities and officials to legal liability,â? asserts the AU document.
Said Americans United Senior Litigation Counsel Gregory M. Lipper: â??The Supreme Court meant what it said. Any same-sex couple denied service by a government official should contact Americans Unitedâ??s legal department. We stand ready to represent same-sex couples whose rights are violated on account of religion.â?
This action is part of Americans Unitedâ??s new project, Protect Thy Neighbor, which seeks to stop religious-based discrimination against LGBT persons and others.
The letter was written by Lipper with assistance from AU Associate Legal Director Alex J. Luchenitser, and Madison Fellows Zachary A. Dietert and Natacha Y. Lam. (Lam is admitted in New York only, and is supervised by Lipper.)
Americans United is a religious liberty watchdog group based in Washington, D.C. Founded in 1947, the organization educates Americans about the importance of church-state separation in safeguarding religious freedom.

She needs to seek a job in a church, there are enough of them to choose from. Anything but a public office
Cam
Next she will claim that her religion says she doesn’t have to work on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, but still must be paid for those days.
Gary Harryman
She’s a lying un-American POS.
It’s about American Values, Fairness, Equality, Human Rights, Civil RIghts, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States, The Bill of Rights, The Law, and Common Decency.
It’s about the most fundamental American Value — “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal…”
Kenny Miruski
Domestic terrorist
Douglas Kovacs
she can’t “violate her conscience”” but she can violate the laws of the government? Please get off the religious soap box someone else needs the wood! i mean really how stupid is she? so hypocritical she can’t issue a marriage license to a gay couple cause she’s playing God (or in her head she’s doing God’s work) but has she actually spoken to God? does she know that is what He wants? all she is going on is words in a book written and interpreted by man (the bible) She has no clue! If you want to hold a position in government that’s great but listen to what the laws of the government tell you to do, not some God like entity that you’ve never seen or spoken to …
Ives Meagher
So is Kim going to burn in hell fire, since she’s granted licenses to transsexual couples, to divorcees’ like herself being on marriage number four. Will she burn in hell is eternal fire! (But jail time first as we call prgatory?)
Jose Irwin
Wish the government do something and fired her hillbilly ignorant ass. Stupid wicked monster.
Michael Haynes
if i choose to go to your fictitious hell then i will go. you however need to do your job or just resign. stop taking lgbt taxes to pay your salary
Katherine Pierce
It strikes me it’s an issue of the law. Don’t have a government job if you cant/ won’t follow it’s laws.
1EqualityUSA
I never hear of children…does this mean that Kim Davis has had sex without purposes of procreation???
Bob LaBlah
If this woman were smart she would start looking around for an agent because WHEN, not IF, she gets fired she is going to make more money on the “bible circuit” than she would sitting her sanctimonious ass behind that damn glass (I assume) where they hand out the certificates that allow gays who absolutely MUST follow in the steps of fools like her and believe their “union” isn’t legit unless the marry in the eyes of this “god” caricature .
Yes, thats just how I see it. Ignorance on BOTH sides of the fence. Again, I say if she were smart she would do it. But hey, Kentucky ain’t exactly known for producing rocket scientists or astrophysicists. Old ex-moonshiners/hell raisers like her are the norm over there.
Hollz Templeton
It’s an issue of her being a stupid cunt
Mike Edwards
oh the “ladies” inside are just gonna love their new bitch when this thing shuffles in – i can hear all the dildos being lubed up now !
Chris Perkins
Then she should know God is the one to judge and not her.
Corey Michael DeCola
Separation of church and state? I’m sorry, but your beliefs shouldn’t be a deciding factor whether or not you do your fucking job. You have no place to say that your beliefs supersede law. ð???
Jamey Arnold
Stop using the bible for your cause! YOU, my lady (which I use the term loosely) have been married four times! YOU have committed a sin that has been put forth in the TOP TEN COMMANDMENTS that YOUR GOD wrote into that book of YOURS! YOU are the one who should be condemned for your disgusting behavior, not two men who have been together for 17 years and all they want to do is show that love for one another. YOU ma’am are a disgusting human being!
Jim Fortier
Someone please fire her big fat ass
Scott Groves
And there is not a damn thing anyone can do… She has Jeezus on her side against us nasty gays…they can’t arrest her, they can’t impeach her.. She will just keep on thumbing her nose at us cause she is a godly woman. Barf!!
Victor Barry
I agree, she can go to hell.
Jamie Hincks
Really? Is it? You know what? I speak for GOD too, and she says this bitch is crazy.

Michael M Tallman
C U Next Tuesday (just sayin’)
Marla Butler
It’s about her 15 minutes of fame. Go home honey and get off the goverment payroll.
Avery Alvarez
No, bish. Not even close.
Don’t try to frame the argument so that it fits your worldview.
This is about a nobody, exerting what limited power she has in order to hurt people because she’s not mentally well, and she thinks she can use her mental illness as a battering ram against people’s well-deserved and long time coming legal rights under the law.
I just hope we’re getting close to the time when, “appeal to religious psychosis” no longer stands as a reason to deny people what’s rightfully theirs.
Thomas Villarreal
Which makes it legitimate how?
joshoutwest
She needs to be fired. She is a sad and sick excuse of a human being. The Kathy Bates in Misery look comes to mind, and she seems to have the personality to match.
Charlie Thomas
It’s an issue about a public official who refuses to follow the law. If she does not immediately stop this blatantly illegal action and uphold her oath of office, she should be imprisoned. Any of her staff members who do not follow the law should immediately be fired for cause.
Bill Waxman
Kim Davis knows nothing about nothing. She should be removed from office now.
Charley Johnson
she is ignorant thats all i need to say

Your liberty ends where my nose begins. Do your job, and at least live up to the fact that you are a bigot. Since you have been married 4 times you can’t pretend that it is about the sanctity of marriage, when you have none yourself.
Bruno Freitas
No.It is about LOVE and hate. All I can see is christians hating everyone who are not from their religions. GOD IS LOVE, so inthe nema of OUR God, stop with the hate and start to love. This is why I’m not a christian anymore. They are so full of hate. I don’t need that,I need love.
Kevin White
There is a serious conflict here. She is doomed either way. She also said “so help me God” when she promised to up hold the law impartially…. Now she thinks she will end up in hell for following the law…. Hum…. Does this mean she is going to hell no matter what she does?
Natalia Cardona
Just fire her already…
Larry Wiebe
Can Kim please ask God if I’m going to heavan or hell? Be good to know. Also, how does God feel about her mocking the sanctity of marriage by getting divorced multiple times? Thanks K, I await his holy word.

” . . . where I would be asked to violate a central teaching of Scripture and of Jesus Himself regarding marriage.”
“To issue a marriage license which conflicts with God’s definition of marriage, with my name affixed to the certificate, would violate my conscience.”

REALLY? Then please explain to everyone why you are refusing to issue marriage licenses to HETEROSEXUAL couples!
Within her answer will lie the proof of her bigotry, and, subsequently, the refutation of any “religious liberty” claim.

Darryl Moir
Does she issue divorce papers, burn in hell bitch.
Faye Denton
I don’t care one way or the other about her “sincere beliefs.” The only thing that matters here is whether she is doing her job or not doing her job. She obviously is not doing her job. She has a choice . . . quit or be fired.
Ann Victor
If it’s not a same sex marriage issue, then do your job.
Blake Baines

According to her it’s God for bid to loving people get married, But she’ll issue a marriage license to people that have violated all 10 of God’s Commandments however she’s going to pick this one issue and say it’s her religion??? she’s a Bigot!
Michael Jestila
The Bible says Sabbath is Saturday not Sunday, Jesus was born, lived and died a Jew, she is not. It is against the Bible for her to have divorced and remarried, she should be stoned to death, she eats pork, she is in violation of the bible, she judges others instead of leaving it up to God. She hates those that LOVE each other and wish to MARRY, that makes her inhumane, a hateful creature full of spite to others.
Wes Sprague

She has a job that she refuses to do, why is there even a discussion being had?
William M Arnold
Well, she looks like Hell !! Stupid Bigot !! Quit or do your fucking job !!

I’d be concerned whether she has been processing things like voter rolls and registrations, land records, fiscal records, etc. properly, and would demand a complete review of all activities she has ever participated in to make certain she hasn’t been slacking in other areas as well. No one in the county can trust her anymore for any clerk activity. Perhaps – who knows – she may have been providing her church members special access and only a thorough review of all her activities can shed light on any other improprieties.

She knows she’s going to hell right?

So, if she’s so religious, and on her fourth marriage… Does that mean we can throw rocks at her… Cause it states in the bible if you leave your husband… The punishment is stoned to death? This fat bitch needs to get a fucking life… She’ll be burning in hell anyways. Just soo sick of seeing her ugly ass. Get rid of her and be done with it… Same with anyone who follows her…
Jeffrey Drobnick

@Edgar Francisco Estrada: Agreed! I understand as an elected “official” she can’t be fired, but bitch, please, if I refused to complete a core task of my job, I would be fired.
There is absolutely no reason this person should be allowed to retain her position if she will not perform those duties required of her position as elected by the people of her county.
One would assume she is receiving coaching and her legal fees are being paid by the right wing republicans to continue her “fight” for religious freedom. I smell something which I believe is bullshit.
Uh, hello, hasn’t the old white male republican establishment read the recent studies that indicate the majority of the US youth accepts same-sex marriage?
I hope this is a blimp on the k-razy radar along with Donald Trump and Ted Cruz.
Robert Copeland
I’ll tell you what’s “hell”…Looking at this tired woman everyday on FB! Somebody please get her a GAY stylist immediately! Maybe a makeover will help this woman be less hateful and instead behave more “heavenly” ð??
Gareth Turner
Hmmmm…doesn’t the Bible say “Judge not, lest ye be judged?”. I guess this means they are stoking the fires of Hell, getting ready for Kim’s arrival.

Funny how she will issue a divorce with no problem although that is a sin in the eyes of Santa Claus, I mean “The Lord”. Maybe that is so because she has exercised that right several times. She has told a reported that she will process a divorce because although that is a sin it is between the people getting divorced and the lord. Well lookee here… what a concept… something that doesn’t affect a Christian will be left up to God instead of a having a hate filled group of red necks insist that they should penalize the sinner. Now if they will just leave the shrimp eaters alone since eating shell fish is an abomination and we all know those Christian groups have been standing outside Red Lobster protesting for years.

@Daniel-Reader: Not to go too far off topic here but your comment reminded me of something that I, a son of the south, learned of less than five years ago. Had the south won the Civil War they, victorious white southern supremacists whom no one would have been able to stop militarily nor spiritually wise at that time, would have implemented a CHANGE in the Holy Bible that allowed slavery. I kid you not. Not only was that the plan but the most hypocritical of them all was President Jefferson’s then vice-president, Judah P. Benjamin, who was a jew, believe it or not.
Kate Dennis
Not only is she in direct defiance fo the government, she’s denying the direction of HER GOD as well: ” Caesar’s things to Caesar and God’s things to God.” Oh, and then there’s the fact she herself has been married four times. According to her Bible that means she’s an adulterer three times over. Oops.

She could always apologize, ask for forgiveness, and carry on processing paperwork. The other alternative is insane scrutiny and too many words being passed back and forth. It’s all in fun, some of it, but it is not nice. I haven’t been nice today. That’s usually my mind at work. She ought to admit that she was out of place for dictating her beliefs onto us. The cat and mouse games work from all angles. Even the Tedious Right gets a kick out of whacking the bee-hive at her expense. Sort of in a pickle. If I were advising her, I would suggest apologizing for overstepping the role she was elected to do, that her beliefs can manage two people of the same gender with a spiritual propensity for each other, to follow through with this legal contract, this bonding measure between two people in love. Get back to work, managing to get a huge surplus of 1.5 million. How does a gal manage that? Is some county overpaid? At a crossroads. A bumpy ride where you are the mouse in this huge game, you risk a lot. Marriage, house work, gardening, and surplus-ing your way into your supervisor’s good graces, sounds more peaceful, especially if you plan on studying more. I would advise apologizing and then asking to be left alone to ponder all that has happened to you. I’ll stop being so mean about your situation. You really are in a pickle. Just know that both sides are playing you like a fiddle.
Stephen Dolainski
When you step into a government job, you leave your faith at the doorstep and follow the secular laws, not the religious laws of your faith. She’s entitled to believe whatever she wants, but she’s not entitled to claim the mantle of religious freedom when she’s acting as Deputy Clerk.

“Following the death of my godly mother-in-law over four years ago, I went to church to fulfill her dying wish. There I heard a message of grace and forgiveness and surrendered my life to Jesus Christ.”
Mmm-hmm. Which mother-in-law would that be, Ms. Davis?
Mother-in-law #1?
Mother-in-law #2?
Mother-in-law #3?
Mother-in-law #4?
Dan Brin
can she just go away and this not be a story anymore…she is wrong and should be fired
Joe Elsasser
Who cares about these religious crazies, their imaginary god and their nonsensical bible. All she needs to know is she has a job, and has to follow the law or get fired!
Dwight
That surplus she’s bragging about will likely disappear into a pile of legal expenses and fines she’s likely to incur for Rowan County.

This monster is just looking for Fame and attention. It’s sad the only attention she is getting is for being ignorant and stupid. This is usually passed on to hillbillies by their parents. She is a sad case that is lost beyond repair
derek mcgillicuddy
Only in America would a twat like her get so much publicity. What next? Her own show on Fox or the 700 Club?
nowliveit
We all know that this is just crazy and she’s a zealot willing to go down with that faux sense of being a sacrificial lamb. Yippee. Good for her. But the questions I want answered include:
Why is she still being paid?
I presume her office has specified duties, which includes issuing marriage license to all citizens, that are outlined by law. Where does her authority to stop serving her oath of office come from? I don’t mean that God is the higher authority bs. I mean from the Governor’s and AG’s office???
Why hasn’t something been done by the government? What can be done?
Rodolfo Butial
why????? did you go to Hell or Heaven already?????
Micheal P Weishampel
I did read an article about her that said she took a glass of water to a protester because she did not want her to become dehydrated. She said they may be both on different sides of the debate but it at least shows that she has a somewhat decent heart

(This has been said before. Forgive me, Queertiers, these words are relevant to Kim Davis as well.)
These Religious zealots are imposing their beliefs on other Americans. That is too great a burden for a secular society. Christians are free to carry on, rendering unto Caesar, should they want to take part in capitalism. There is no room for a mindset that rationalizes taking away inalienable rights from the unpopular Americans. This country’s citizens cannot tolerate those who wish to oppress other Americans, no matter the motivation.
Do you not see the danger in tearing the wall of separation down between religion and politics? You believe we are a “Christian Nation,” but were this to change a hundred years from now, you may find your views challenged and your beliefs imposed upon. If you truly believe that your God is the only true God, can you not find talented teachers to convey the message, without establishing your beliefs into civil laws, under which everyone is coerced? The gradient is too wildly vast to say that your interpretation of the Bible is the proper version by which everybody shall be burdened. I do not want to live under Kim Davis’s version of my Bible, nor would I expect her to be burdened by my interpretation. One hundred years from now, the tide may change and we may find that we are burdened by a different God entirely, should the precedence be set, now, by foolish Texans and Tea Partiers. Jesus and John the Baptist didn’t run up to Herod and say, “establish these laws of ours.” Their words transform hearts. It will be ineffective to establish religion into civic laws, as years from now, these laws may well be overturned and set on a shelf, futility. If you believe in the Word, sing it from the rooftops, tell it to the mountain, establish a way to convey God’s message in a convincing manner through talent and faith, but coercion by civil laws is throwing resources down a rat-hole. If you have faith in your Father’s Word, that should be enough to grow 70 times 70 hearts and minds. Establishing your religious beliefs in civil law, without transforming hearts, is a temporary measure, oppressive, and sure to fail.
If these church leaders were worth their salt, they would not need to resort to oppression and coercion. The Church has lost its way. They cannot spiritually feed the flock. The leaders are tangled in the thorns of this world. Separation protects. Mixing politics into religion supplants the Word. Christ was not a politician. He was not of this world. His Word was His authority. His example didn’t include oppression, but rather, free will. Any pastor, priest, or pope stating otherwise is nefarious and none of Christ’s.
Separation of Church and State protects the Spiritually minded in our Country, as well as those who have no religious interests. You are free to worship whomever you deem true and found a Church that teaches your version of the Bible, but keep your personal beliefs to yourself. Your God is not to be pushed onto North American society via civil laws. Oppression is not the example set for you by Jesus and anyone who says so is dark. Strife and rancor is not the way to teach God’s Word. The Word is not to be compromised by politics, nor by those itching for a fight.
