Obama Pulls "Presidential" Seal

Barack Obama and his team obviously listen to criticism. The presumptive Democratic nominee last week debuted a new campaign logo, a play on the presidential seal, but yanked it in the face of bad reviews:

[Slate's] Mickey Kaus predicted it would be disappeared over the weekend. His exact words were: "But unless David Axelrod is insane, the thing will never be seen again." Kaus was right. While we don't have full details, someone at Obama's press center, when asked if the seal would be used going forward said simply, "No."

Good, because the seal reeked of hubris, not something you want when going into a general election…

I like the design but I agree that it could be taken as hubris. Although, every presidential candidate has to be a little cocky in telling you why they should lead the nation.

I think the campaign got a little ahead of itself with the seal. It would make a great collector's item though.

Why is anyone suprised….the media has utterly convinced this man that he is God so why shouldn't he think he can walk on water????

Not quite sure how using a presidential-type seal in a presidential election is "walking on water", but…um…okay.

HKG - And re-releasing the "dressed" photo of Obama to associate him with Muslims/Africa/terrorists/other wasn't amateur? ;)

Very presumptuous on his part. Proves he has a lot of maturing to do before his kind should be allowed to run for president. Asshole.
