Appearing today on Will Ferrell’s “Funny or Die” site and starring Jack Black, John C. Reilley, Neil Patrick Harris, Allison Janey, Margaret Cho and our favorite Fubar bartender J.B Singh, “Prop. 8: The Musical” is written by Hairspray composer Marc Shaiman, who admits in the credits that he conceived this piece “six weeks later than he shoulda”.
It’s got Jesus, patriotism and jean shorts. What more do you want? I mean, besides the right to legally marry, that is.
That was entertaining! Now let’s continue to sue in court, and win!
I’m planning my June wedding at San Francisco City Hall in 09′.
Thank you for this! I wonder who wrote the music.
It was written by Marc Shaiman. And I also spotted Kathy Najimy of Sister Act-Fame and Andy Richter among the singers.
Won’t it be wonderful when our grandkids come to us in 2052 and say, YOU LIVED when Uncle Jim and Ken weren’t allowed to be married? Just like we did to our elders about all of the outlandish things our society has “outlawed” throughout history. It’s a matter of time.
UM, i’ll take the guy in the smily shirt and the blond guy in the glasses, please. who are they?
Heh.
This is cool…self depricating and refreshing..
The guy in the glasses is Barrett Foa from Avenue Q and other Broadway type shows.
Awsome!
Doogie!
That was great!!!
What can you say about Us GLBT -Q? – queer – GLesbian folks – our civil rights get taken away and we come up with a musical…fabulous!
Where the fuck were these people BEFORE prop 8 passed?
Like the producers of MILK, they probably weren’t aware of Proposition 8 either.
Living under a rock, in a dark cave, on the other side of the world has it’s disadvantages, you know?
Darrell from The Office was there, and I think I saw Margaret Cho.
