At #10 with 125 OUTrageous votes: “Ex-Gay” Group Exodus Realizes It’s Wrong, Apologizes, Shuts Down After attempting to brainwash gay people into renouncing their sexual orientation for 37 years, the “ex-gay ministry” Exodus International, spearheaded by  Alan Chambers, has seen the light and is turning it off. At #9 with 130 OUTrageous votes: 13 Villains Of Marriage Equality It’s been a long journey toward marriage equality, and some folks made it a point to make the journey even longer. Thanks to their enmity, viciousness or just plain crassness, these enemies of equality delayed the day when we could finally say, “I do.” Queerty has chosen some of the worse offenders to remind us just who the villains were in this fight, including Tony Perkins, Maggie Gallagher, and, of course, Michele Bachmann.
At #7 with 144 OUTrageous votes: Swimwear Sightings At Disney World’s Gay Days Every year, thousands of gay men and women flock to Orlando, Florida for the annual Gay Days At Disney World. This year, Queerty put together a photo album of some of this summer’s swimwear styles from one of the most magical weekends of the year.
    At #6 with 191 OUTrageous votes: Drag Performer Viciously Attacked As Crowd Watches And Encourages Fight While customers in a Washington, D.C. restaurant watched, cheered and filmed, drag performer Heidi Glüm sustained multiple injuries during a violent and bloody attack on June 22 which the victim described as “really petty drunk girl nonsense that escalated into insanity.” At #5 with an impressive 226 OUTrageous votes: Kerry Rhodes Pretends He’s Straight, Claims He Is The Father Of Kim Kardashian’s Baby We already knew NFL star Kerry Rhodes was (allegedly) flaming, but who knew he could father the birth of an immaculate conception.
At #4 with 237 OUTrageous votes: PHOTOS: Undressed In The Dressing Room At Broadway Bares XXIII This year’s Broadway Bares, the unofficial kickoff to Gay Pride Week in New York City, featured appearances and performances by an impressive roster of talent. This year’s theme, “United Strips of America,” was a huge hit. Queerty skipped the crowd upstairs and snuck downstairs to hang out with the performers between their numbers.
At #2 with a whopping 309 OUTrageous votes: Indiana Will Send Same-Sex Couples To Jail For Wanting To Get Married. Really. Indiana recently passed a law that makes it a felony for same-sex couples even to apply for a marriage license. Yes, that’s right. In Indiana, you can now be sent to jail merely for asking for a marriage license. Fortunately, you won’t be alone. The state is also willing to jail any clerk who issues a marriage license to a same-sex couple and any minister who performs a same-sex marriage.

Margaret Cho, Joan Rivers Pitch In To Produce Musical Comedy “Shirley Phelps-Roper In Concert, Live From Hell”

In a creative counter-protest of the WBC, playwright John J. Caswell, Jr. is seeking funds on Indiegogo to produce a new musical comedy starring the hilarious Erin Markey called God Hates This Show: Shirley Phelps-Roper In Concert, Live From Hell. Margaret Cho, Joan Rivers and Ann Bannon are among other celebrities showing support for the show — each of them has graciously donated autographed prize packages for people willing to become major backers.

    Shirley Roper Phelps Live From Hell. I have a very expensive bottle of champagne in my wine chiller waiting for the day that becomes reality. And some posterboards and Sharpies. Sometimes being the bigger person and turning the other cheek just isn’t satisfying, but I think the Good Lord will give me a pass just this once.
