It's inevitable that something as controversial as the National Day of Silence would encounter some opposition.

The annual event, now on its 12th year, directly counters homophobic bullying in schools. This, of course, means that we have a "gay issue" within the halls of lower education, which really, really pisses off conservatives.

Microsoft executive Mike Wallent made headlines last year when he announced his impending sex change operation. Well, now it's happened and Mike's now Megan Wallent!

So, what's Megan have to say about her transition? This:

Well, I'm me. And I think most people would perceive me as female these days. And that's the way I present myself to the outside world.

I've never been attracted to men, never even one iota. All through my transition one of the questions that [my wife] Anh and I talked about was, 'Boy, are you going to all of a sudden become attracted to men? Uh, is that going to be an issue?' And I said, 'no, I can't imagine that.'

Sorry, trans chasers, this girl and her wife are still going strong, which will only further infuriate Microsoft nemesis Ken Hutcherson.

Thanks in advance for all the story material, Wallent!

Ken Hutcherson caught the public eye as a football player. Fast forward a few decades and he's a right wing preacher and launching shareholder mutiny against gay-friendly Microsoft.

Some consider Hutcherson a simple wack-job, but journo Anthony Robinson wonders if he's not a bit more dangerous:

…Hutcherson was preaching on gender roles. During his sermon, Hutcherson stated, "God hates soft men" and "God hates effeminate men." Hutcherson went on to say, "If I was in a drugstore and some guy opened the door for me, I'd rip his arm off and beat him with the wet end."

"That was a joke," Hutcherson said Friday, when I asked him about the comment. But it's not really funny, is it?

What it sounds like are the kinds of words that have paved the way for atrocities in such places as Serbia, Kosovo and Rwanda.

Um, duh! Where do you think Hutcherson gets all his material?

Nightmare Ken Hutcherson's making good on his Microsoft threats. The footballer turned preacher man announced the first stage in his unholy crusade against the tech company's gay-friendly policies. And, yes, he found his famous white friends:

A conservative Christian pastor plans to launch a high-profile campaign Tuesday urging religious followers to load up on Microsoft Corp. stock, in an attempt to force the company to "stop financing ungodly ventures."

Hutcherson, joined by some of the country's most influential Christian leaders, has created a new organization, AGN Financial Network, to finance the effort. The worldwide venture asks people to buy three shares of company stock and donate one to AGN. Its Web site tells visitors, "You have the power to change the world…"

It's unclear what effect, if any, the initiative could have on the stock price. It would be difficult to influence company direction — just to gain a 1 percent stake in Microsoft, about 31 million people would each have to spend $104 to buy three shares.

We're really not that worried.

One Man's Insane Mission: The Video

Crazed preacher man Ken Hutcherson told Microsoft shareholders he's going to be their "nightmare" if they don't stop supporting gay rights. He also rambles on about meeting with Microsoft's diversity team and something about CEO Steve Barnell. It doesn't make sense. Here's what we hear in this Good As You provided video:
Do you know that the The reason this firestorm is coming is because I came to Brad Smith and Stephen [Inaudible], who works in diversity, we have worked out a plan to work together to improve our community…and Steve Barnell, the CEO, stood and called me a liar, thus we are putting together one of the largest, one of the most powerful groups to come to deal with Microsoft on issues that we believe is hurting our society. And the reason why we are excited about this is because we know that we have the power behind us.

Yes, that "power" you spoke of before - that "whole host of powerful white people". Note that the rich white Microsoft Chief Financial Officer Chris Liddell didn't look that impressed.

Ain't No Stopping A Black Man With White Friends...

Seek Out Homos To Stop Out Homos

Riga, Latvia's queers are gearing up for this weekend's gay pride event. And so are their mortal enemies, the homo-hating non-profit, No Pride! Not only have they taken to the streets to urge the government to put an end to the festival's gay ways, but they're sending emails to rally more troops. Unfortunately, they're targeting the wrong people: us. We just received this note from No Pride preacher, Reverend Vadim Privedenyuk:

Please, make sure you help people of Latvia!

Latvia is the country that oppose same-sex marriage. The constitution of Latvia clearly says that. If you are one of those, who support NATURAL FAMILY (not same-sex family), you can count on our support in the future…

ONE MAN ONE WOMEN RULES! THAT'S THE WAY TO GROW!!!

And we're not the first Americans the No Priders have attempted to enlist.

Bill Gates Pin-Up

We’re sure Bill Gates is shaking in his ten-thousand dollar alligator boots with this one: A Seattle anti-gay pastor has urged his followers to buy and then dump Microsoft stock in order to drive the stock price down. Why? Because his original plan to boycott all Microsoft merchandise (including almost every brand name you"d find at Target or Sears), was just a tad too unrealistic.

Rev. Ken Hutcherson, pastor of Antioch Bible Church in the Seattle suburb of Redmond, said the stock-dumping plan had been his strategy all along.

"You got to find out how you affect a company," Hutcherson said, conceding that it would be hard to get people to shun products from companies that dominate the marketplace as Microsoft and Boeing do.

He wants supporters to buy one or two shares over the next few months, and then sell them May 1.

Over/under on how long it takes this guy to drive Microsoft into bankruptcy? Hmm, how about like, never. Do these bigots even have time anymore to actually, like pray and stuff?
